The view of Thigle is actually the nature of both the ground and the basis, like establishing the true state of the dependent and the depended, and thinking that meditation depends on this, it directly shows self-liberation without any effort. The second part is divided into two points: For those with sharp faculties, the Trekchö instructions that liberate by merely reciting, without needing to meditate; and the way to attain liberation in the manifestation of the three Kayas on the path by meditating on Tögal with great diligence, and finally passing into complete Nirvana without residue of the aggregates. The first part is also divided into two ways of introducing the differences in faculties. The first is the common way: For those who have faith and are the objects of taming of the Heart Essence (329), but whose consciousness is in a hidden state, the introduction is adorned as follows: Emaho! Introducing appearances as mind, thereby familiarizing with mind; introducing mind itself as emptiness, thereby filling emptiness with bliss; introducing emptiness as awareness, thereby awareness itself is inseparable from the expanse, that itself is the Dharmakaya. Just like that, introducing appearances as made by mind, thereby reversing the self-grasping of truth; thus, introducing the fabricated mind as emptiness, thereby abandoning attachment to external objects; introducing emptiness as awareness, thereby guiding to the point of not misunderstanding the nature of reality as nihilistic. This is not close to the intention of the Heart Essence, but rather a clear understanding, as it says in Self-Arisen: The yoga of the mind of appearances, all arises from my mind, if one realizes the nature of mind, what is there to do? Those who constantly say that, I have not said they are liberated. Because elsewhere, mind does not exist ultimately, but is established as existing conventionally, thereby taking the view and meditation with a target as the path, and similarly there is also the Dharma language of union, combining the two into one, while here, Dzogchen is originally the union of awareness and emptiness, the Great Perfection, without the need to unite again, there is a difference of the Great Perfection that is different and without bias. Therefore, the Omniscient One said: Introducing appearances as mind, and introducing mind itself as emptiness, one should know that this is not the intention of the Heart Essence. In some instructions, even if this happens, it is only guiding the lower ones, and it is not the definitive meaning. Thus it is decided. Thus, the direct प्रमाण of appearances not being mind is sleep, fainting, and equanimity.

The two ways of entering, and the five states of constant unconsciousness, that is, without mind, as explained in the Madhyāntavibhāga, at that time there is no appearance in anything. Last night I dreamed of finding a jewel or enjoying pleasure, and I was happy about it and held it to be true. When I wake up, there is nothing, so it is certain that it is only caused by recollection (331) and sudden red and white appearances. Nowadays, the teachings of Dzogchen are declining, and many people only trust this introduction, so in order to point out the path directly here, Rangshar says: "When the lion roars its own voice, all the beasts faint and are afraid. When Dzogchen speaks its own voice, all the Hinayana faint." Like this, for those who have no karma to regard cause and effect as the ultimate meaning, and those who hope to attain Dzogchen through speculation, they may be confused and frustrated, but the omniscient one considers appearance to be mind, which is a great darkness of wrong views that must be eliminated. Because of this teaching, it is explained in detail and the obstacles on the path are cleared away. Secondly, in a non-common way, like a blind person opening one eye, the instructions are given directly. Let the disciple Miju Dorje take a sitting posture, accompanied by the skull drum (ḍaḍā) and bell, reciting the lineage prayer at the end with a changing melody. "Alas! Your present awareness, do not make any adjustments or contractions, just rest directly. It has no existence or non-existence, nor any parts. It does not distinguish the boundaries of appearance and emptiness. There are no characteristics of permanence or annihilation. Do not try to strive for this unestablished state through contemplation. This is primordial liberation, not like untying bonds. Self-illumination that has not been transformed by consciousness. Wisdom that has not been manufactured by conceptual thought. Dharma nature that has not been contaminated by contemplation. Samadhi that cannot be settled. Post-attainment that cannot be calculated. Clarity without essence. Vastness without falling into the edge. Like this, this view of natural abiding, although it has never been separated from all sentient beings, because it is not recognized, just as water can flow freely but is frozen, with the mind of inner clinging as the cause, and the object of outer grasping as the condition, wandering endlessly in samsara. Now, through the guru's instructions, just recognizing the weakness of awareness for a moment, do not
