Concentrate knowledge on the destruction of death, and finally gather it in the heart to rest. By doing this repeatedly, the coming and going of inner and outer paths will become clear, and the merit of a highly trained mind will be obtained, making it possible to transform any object of focus. Fourth, entering the path: transforming oneself into Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hum,Seed Syllable Hum), a fathom in length and dark blue in color, entering the path of all forms by wriggling back and forth like a worm (320), from the visible mountains and landscapes to all the invisible and familiar places, thinking of oneself as going like a merchant embarking on a path to seek profit, and slowly uttering Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hum,Seed Syllable Hum) in accordance with the manner of going. This purifies the habitual tendencies of the place and has the necessary connection to be absorbed into the system of body and speech. Again, uttering Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hum,Seed Syllable Hum) Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hum,Seed Syllable Hum), think of going like an arrow to the pure lands such as Manifest Joy in the east, thus arranging the auspicious connection for the accomplishment of the pure land. Unifying wind, mind, and the three Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hum,Seed Syllable Hum) into one, and holding onto whatever aspiration is directed, is more powerful in stopping conceptual thoughts than other methods. This purifies the obscurations of speech and liberates speech into the Sambhogakāya. Third, training the mind: As it is said in the Prasangika: The mind's initial place of arising, the intermediate place of dwelling, the final place of going. By examining these three in this way, one trains the mind and knows the true nature of the mind. Therefore, this is the actual method of training the mind, and how to calm the trained mind. First, examining the initial place of arising and the ariser of the three aspects (321): From where does this mind arise, from the moment of existence, from any side of existence or non-existence such as vessel and essence, inner and outer appearances, and emptiness? If it is said to arise from the side of existing matter, one will fall into the sect of the Śrāvakayāna, therefore, even the smallest part of the atom of the clinging to the truth of appearances must be destroyed and realized. By examining in this way and searching inside the indivisible atom, the place of arising of the mind is not found, although it is known that it is not established in its own nature like a dream. However, if the knowledge of the ariser, like rising hair, does not cut off the root of appearing like mind and mental factors, then like the Madhyamaka-Yogācāra, one will wander in the direction of hoping to obtain the true nature through negation and non-negation. Therefore, look back at the mind of the seeker. Even when looking, the mind is only momentarily self-illuminating, or thoughts

If you want (all phenomena) to ultimately appear in various ways, it is like trusting the open and rootless space of mind, and you still have not directly seen awareness. If you say it arises from the aspect of emptiness, (page 322) then the shape, color, signs, size, direction, etc. seen by the teacher must also exist, so you must examine its nature. When you examine it in this way, if the place of searching and the searcher appear as the apprehended and the apprehender, in a state of nowhere to be found, without support, unspeakable, inconceivable, and free from all commitments, if it becomes empty, then you have realized the meaning of the groundless, rootless, dharmakaya, unborn. As the Madhyamaka-Prasangika says: "I have no commitment, therefore I am only without fault." Reaching this point, the way of reaching it is not like those who now claim to hold sectarian views, establishing it with the wisdom of conceptual thought, but reaching it by seeing the meaning of the dharmata of the spontaneously perfect great perfection, I say. Second, examining the place and the dweller: if this mind now appears externally, it is the external object; if it appears internally, it is the inner body. If you examine where it dwells in the outer and inner, upper and lower, head and tail, etc. of these, if you see the dwelling place, then the false root of the discrimination and questioning about its shape, color, function, etc. will disappear. (page 323) If you do not see it anywhere inside or outside, and when you examine the aspect of the dweller, even if the self-luminous of the alaya-consciousness slightly appears as truly established, it is close to the falsity of mind-only. Here, because the mind has no reason, like writing on water, after it passes, there is no trace to be found, or like grabbing water when a boat sinks, in the moment of searching for a dwelling place, the searcher himself disappears, so it is determined that the teacher of the dweller cannot be determined, this is the realization of the meaning of the sambhogakaya without end. In the present moment, thorns piercing, etc., on the three doors, from the proximate cause of feeling, wherever the trace of experience appears, it seems to exist there. This is caused by the aggregate of formation, conditioned by the suddenly arising discrimination, and matures into the autonomous fruit due to the mind clinging to the object of apprehension. When the object of the apprehended and the apprehender disappears and the dharmata reaches exhaustion, even if surrounded by hundreds of executioners, there is no meaning of fear and anxiety, and this is also accomplished by this.
