The heart is like a hollow tree, from which the fruits of liberation will not come forth. Alas, how pitiful! To think that the wealth of this life is permanent and perfect is the most base of children. Who is more foolish than that in this world? It has never happened before, and it will not happen in the future. Thus it is said. The seventh mind training is from the "Son's Letter": Thus, having abandoned external and internal distractions, and having placed the mind in non-conceptual meditation, as experience increases and time lengthens, generate the conviction in your mind that you will never be separated from this meaning, and train the mind with seven things. Thus it concludes. Relying on non-conceptualization to train the mind is the supreme gate for entering the path of samadhi. In the Drop of Liberation, it says: When the upper wind is subdued, appearance is mastered; when the lower wind is subdued, emptiness is mastered; when the middle wind is stirred and churned, it is united in duality. As it is said, the appearances of sentient beings remain outside, awareness remains inside, and in between, driven by the wind of karma, the mind acts as a horse, wandering in the state of grasping and being grasped, confused by the continuous cycle of samsara. The swift path of Vajrayana relies on binding the activity of the winds of karma, like a furnace, so that, unlike the lower vehicles, one does not rely on meditation that speculates with awareness in the net of conceptualization for a long time, but forcefully recognizes the innate wisdom. There are three aspects to this. First, with one's body in a state of possessing the seven qualities of meditation, the inside of the abdomen is empty and clear, like a deflated bellows. In the center, the central channel is straight, like a supple willow by the water, thin like a lotus petal, blue like a cloudless sky, and clear like a sesame oil lamp. Meditate on possessing these four qualities. At the upper end of the crown of the head, visualize a white ཧཾ་ (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), and at the lower end below the navel, visualize a red ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: Ah). In the state of the four unions, suppress the upper wind and raise the lower wind, causing the fire to blaze from the ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: Ah) at the navel. Gradually, the ཧཾ་ (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) at the upper end melts, and the stream of nectar descends, pervading the four chakras and all the channels, giving rise to the wisdom of bliss and emptiness. Think in this way, and focus the mind on a single white ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: Ah) at the heart, remaining one-pointedly, like a severed thread.
