Obstacles such as fences, etc. With the profound words of the Mind Transmission Vajra verses, it subdues hundreds of times with few words. Through the auspicious connection of white aspirations accumulated in the past, and the kindness of the profound path of Vajra Yoga, in the handprint of the liberation of the central channel knots, this experiential key instruction is made. When the roar of the summer thunder is proclaimed in this way, even the hearts of those who boast of being wise will break, because profound realizations gush forth from within, and it is impossible to hide the words of piercing the void. (574) With this virtue, when maintaining mindfulness in one's own state, all non-virtues that are scattered and lost are also purified in the spontaneous natural state, may all beings realize the Great Perfection. This, called "The Lion's Roar that Reprimands Straying," is written by the Kusulu yogi Padma Wangchen Yeshe Pal, the playful ocean, who is rich in the wealth of faith, generosity, and hearing, and who has the good fortune to maintain the clear light Great Perfection without decline, the excellent Dharma friend Klong Drol Ying Rig, and who is diligent in the practice of the clear light Vajra Essence, abiding only in stillness, binding the continuum with the three solitudes, etc., not just once but repeatedly urged. This should not be shown to those who have not received (575) the instructions, or who, even if they have received them, are intoxicated by the poisonous water of selfishness, and who have not understood the essential points of the path, those of the lineage of wrong views without fortune. Those who take practice as the essence should carefully read this text. All who have generated certainty have been prophesied. Entrust it to the Dharma protectors who guard the heart essence of the close teachings. Samaya, Gya Gya Gya (藏文:ས་མ་ཡ རྒྱ་རྒྱ་རྒྱ) (576) (577) Great Perfection: Directly Seeing the Nature of Reality. This is needed for beginners. (578) To the Great Perfection of the self-liberation of the ground, I prostrate with devotion free from subject and object. May I be blessed to see the face of the Great Perfection, the self-knowing, mind-free meaning, at this very moment. The establishment of the meaning of the Great Perfection is: This very naked awareness of clear knowing, without making any alterations to one's own mind in the present moment, letting it be natural. That is the time

To maintain mindfulness without forgetting in any situation, whether eating, sleeping, walking, or dwelling, is called meditation. However, until the obscurations of knowledge are removed, it is impossible to have an experience that is not mixed with the three—bliss, clarity, and non-thought (579). Yet, from the perspective of not being a forced recollection deliberately twisted by mindfulness, what happens if one merely maintains the state of not forgetting one's own nature and self-awareness? The ultimate truth of freedom from elaboration will arise, which is beyond example and expression. Moreover, for a while, especially for beginners, black conceptual thoughts run rampant, causing mindfulness to wander. After being tossed about by many conceptual thoughts, at some point, mindfulness suddenly awakens, and regret arises, thinking, "I have been distracted" (580). At that time, without cutting off the tail of the previous conceptual thoughts or feeling regret for the distraction, simply maintain the natural flow from the moment mindfulness suddenly awakens. Although it is often said, "View conceptual thoughts as Dharmakaya, do not abandon them," if you do so before perfecting the skill of insight, you will surely fall into a state of unknowing bewilderment. Therefore, in the beginning, stare intently at whatever conceptual thought arises, without engaging in any constant observation or reflection. Instead, treat the one who recognizes the conceptual thoughts themselves with a dismissive, non-attached attitude, just as an old person ignores the annoying games of children. If you become accustomed to this over a long period, what will happen? Conceptual thoughts will arise in meditation and enter into a state of simultaneous liberation of abiding, moving, and ceasing. At this time, the stages of recognizing conceptual thoughts and liberating them into Dharmakaya, the conceptual thoughts themselves liberating into Dharmakaya, and the conceptual thoughts liberating into Dharmakaya as neither helpful nor harmful, will occur in sequence. It is necessary for a qualified guru who has received the paternal lineage (581) of the Great Perfection's view to distinguish the boundaries. Herein lies a crucial point that differs from other schools and the intellectual approach of viewing conceptual thoughts as Dharmakaya. This is the doctrinal view of the heroes who have attained the uncommon understanding of the Mind Series. Then, when realizing the state of freedom from elaboration, like the sky, which is free from abandonment and attainment, the antidote of the meditator and mindful awareness will fade away, and the stream of consciousness will become pure like the sky. Doubt and the bonds of right and wrong will naturally dissolve, and a wisdom that is unmade by anyone, beyond thought, will unfold into vast expanse.
