Since it is abbreviated, it is called the half-Nirmanakaya Sambhogakaya, which is distinguished from the union of the sun and moon. Like this, because of the self-manifesting nature of illusion, it is known as the realm of the Svabhavikakaya Nirmanakaya, namely Akanishta, as well as Abhirati, Shrimat, Padmavyuha or Sukhavati, and the five worlds of Krityanushthana-jnana, manifesting as the five Buddha families, etc. In the pure (257) retinue, the nature of the five families, five dharmas, and five transformations of the ten bhumis is manifested, and with great light empowerment, the great deeds of attaining Buddhahood are perfected. As it is said in the Sutra of Illusory Manifestation of Enlightenment: "Purity is the power of the earth itself, therefore there are five teachers and five excellent dharmas, from the perfection of the five wisdoms, one goes to the essence of perfect enlightenment." Thus. From that state, the manifestation of the Nirmanakaya to tame beings arises from the seed of the white dharma of sentient beings, appearing to have the same nature as water, moon reflection, and moon mandala. Just as the moon has the ability to reflect images, the Sambhogakaya, like the moon, has the ability to emanate Nirmanakayas to those to be tamed. Just as the water has the condition to hold the image, the beings to be tamed have the merit to see the Nirmanakaya. When these two come together, just as the moon reflection effortlessly appears in the water, the appearance of the Nirmanakaya arises according to what needs to be tamed. That is, in order to accomplish the benefit that corresponds to the six realms of beings who experience various sufferings, such as the heavens with their heads facing upwards, the animals facing sideways, and the hells and (258) pretas facing downwards, which appear due to the karma of each being, they manifest as the six Munis to benefit beings. Among them, some are tamed by the twelve deeds of great merit, etc., some are tamed by various vehicles of speech that transcend the words themselves, some are tamed by the six abhijñas such as the complete practice of Samantabhadra's conduct, and some are tamed by the inconceivable activities that arise from the nature of all things. As it is said in the Avatamsaka Sutra: "O son of good family, the Nirmanakaya of the Tathagata is immeasurable, and by whatever form, color, and name the beings to be tamed can be tamed, he accomplishes the benefit." Thus it is said.
