Ra. The Sambhogakaya is spoken of as the body of complete enlightenment. Therefore, when the mind itself is clear light at its ultimate, it belongs to the aspect of possessing twofold purity, and the qualities that are unmixed with the aspect of appearance, namely the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, great compassion, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, etc. In short, from the aspect of the inconceivable qualities of wisdom, love, and power, it is called the body of complete and perfect enlightenment, which abides as the basis for the manifestation of all unmixed qualities. Third, the peaceful Dharmakaya is not merely emptiness, because it is not awareness and wisdom. If one considers the nature of reality to be the Dharmakaya, then it is the Vajra body, as has already been explained. If one considers the Dharmakaya to be the aspect of appearing in many ways while being unmixed in essence, then it is the body of complete enlightenment, as has just been explained, so it is all-pervasive. Here, if one identifies with anything, it is not permanent, because it is beyond object and thought; nor is it annihilation, because it is the wisdom of individual self-awareness; it does not fall into the extremes of both or neither, because permanence and annihilation are not established. Therefore, the nature of space, being free from center and edge, in the expanse like the sky, the very subtle wisdom is mixed into one taste, and although it abides in the same way as the invisible full moon in the sky, and is similar to Dharma, it is the essence of the arising of outer clarity wisdom from the aspect of the inner clarity of wisdom where the knowing aspect has not ceased, so for those who abide in the Bodhisattva grounds (254), and for the assembly of sentient beings, it causes the appearance of the form body to the eye, the hearing of sound to the ear, the smelling of the fragrance of the noble precepts to the nose, the tasting of the flavor of Dharma to the tongue, the feeling of the touch of the bliss of Samadhi to the body, and the measuring of the Dharma of discriminating wisdom, so it is called the wisdom that does not sink into delusion. Even so, there is no grasping at the object and the subject as two, because the inconceivable wisdom is the object of experience only for the Buddhas, and not for others. As it is said in the Magical Net Lama: The most subtle wisdom is clear within, The basis of aimlessness is the Dharmakaya. Thus, these three bodies that are clear in the inner clarity of space are very difficult to realize. Fourth, the Sambhogakaya, in the Magical Net sequence:

The complete and spontaneous manifestation of awareness, Fields, palaces, thrones, and ornaments, Appear as various rays of light. Thus, within the clarity of the Dharmadhatu, like the light of a crystal illuminated by sunlight, the teachers of the five families, who are the embodiments of the ocean of marks and signs of the five certainties, appear as empty forms in the manifestation of the Buddha himself, and constantly enjoy the wheel of continuous existence. Because they are unique and not shared with others, even the masters of the ten bhumis cannot see them. Why? Because they have not abandoned all obscurations and have not obtained the eye of wisdom that sees all qualities as they are and as many as they are. As it is said in the Uttaratantra Shastra: Because it is not an object of speech, because it is gathered by ultimate truth, Because it is not an object of thought, because it transcends examples, Because it is unsurpassed, because it is not included in samsara or nirvana, Even the noble ones in the Buddha-fields cannot fathom it. Thus, their palaces and other perfect places are also made of the clear light of the self-manifesting ground, like the appearance of a pure dream. It is the same as the Dharma, and it appears wherever all obscurations are abandoned, but it is not regarded as existing in its own right in any particular direction. Thus, just as yogis who have the prana entering the central channel gather in one empty form place, others cannot see them together. The difference between this and the three kayas of inner clarity is that it dissolves into the light of the crystal and abides in the basis of the five lights, residing in the subtle realm of wisdom (256). The five lights of the crystal, which are revealed outward by the sun's rays, are the wisdom that self-manifests in the field and shines outward, blazing in the form of signs and marks, which is easy to understand by example. Fifth, the Nirmanakaya, who can manifest in any form, is known as the noble guide who leads the princes and noble ones to the peaceful continent. Moreover, the Sambhogakaya teacher, who appears to the highest of those to be tamed, appears to be the same as the great Sambhogakaya of the Dharmadhatu in self-manifestation, but like a non-real example, it is the difference between reality and its image appearing in a mirror. Although the image appears to be complete with marks and signs and other enjoyments, the Buddha-field and retinue appear elsewhere, and it is the appearance of the tenth bhumi.
