Imagine that rays of light like the touch of fire emanate from the sounds of the tra-phro-wa, and that the demons of the planets and nagas are cut off. Ba is the oral instruction. Demon (441) Hūṃ (藏文:འུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡). However, one's own mind is the trick of illusion, the harmed, the harmer, and the remedy, in the awareness of the equality of dharmata, one goes to the spontaneously accomplished vidyadhara ground. A very profound treasure of the heart, do not reveal it to those who are not vessels and have wrong views. Dha thim. Thus, in the root text of the fierce Hayagriva-Garuda practice, the difficult points are explained by commentary. During the retreat, it is most important to maintain pure silence and to keep the mind focused and undistracted. It is okay if there is not much emanation and absorption of light, etc. Mainly, focus on the red hand-written Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) letter in the heart center, like a rosary of mantras rotating clockwise with sound. The actual practice of the retreat is no different from the practice text of Simhamukha, etc. (442) (443) Homage to the fierce Guru Hayagriva-Garuda, from whom the nagas are liberated and the lower demons are destroyed. (444) Homage to the fierce Guru who possesses the three remedies. Through the fierce Hayagriva-Garuda, the profound liberation of nagas and demons is performed in three parts: preliminary, main, and concluding. The first is the preliminary: On a clean platform, set up a mandala, or on a heap of grain with eight lotus petals, place a karma vase filled with essence and a self-generation vase. Arrange medicine offerings, torma, rakta, and offerings to complete both. As much as possible, to prevent the bhutas from disturbing the place, sprinkle it with consecrated ground, surrounded by neu-sing trees, naga trees, birch trees, etc. In the center, draw an eight-petaled lotus, and in the center, place a naga image smeared with ashes, with a snake tail and a head adorned with a snake crest. On each of the eight petals, place a demon figure in the form of a coiled snake. On top of the naga image, place a small bamboo seat, on which place an earthenware vase (445) filled with milk, to which naga medicine, three whites, and three sweets have been added. In the direction of the neu-sing tree, place eight naga tormas in the form of coiled snakes, and twenty-one naga treasures, etc., arrange appropriate offerings. On one side, prepare an elaborate effigy torma for the sick person, milk porridge, water offerings, a black nose thread, peacock feathers, and eagle feathers, etc. Secondly, the main practice is divided into seven parts. The first is self-generation: Protect the karma ritual of Hayagriva-Garuda, and when reciting, focus on subduing the nagas and applying the visualization of suppression. The second is the karma vase.

The practice is: Through bathing and purification, from emptiness, in a precious vase with complete dimensions and characteristics, in the center of an immeasurable palace made entirely of demonic forms such as aquatic creatures, fish (446), snakes, etc., on a lotus sun and moon cushion where a hundred thousand nagas, malignant spirits, and earth lords gather, from the black "PHÉ" syllable, light radiates, accomplishing the two benefits. After complete transformation, it becomes the Bhagavan Wrathful Manjushri, the Naga King, with a body color as dark as rain clouds, possessing nine ferocious and wrathful demon faces, with nine snake heads raised high, majestic and awe-inspiring, the central snake head adorned with a precious jewel crown, in eighteen hands, the two main hands hold a curved knife and a snake lasso above and below the heart, while the other hands are in threatening gestures, the body is complete with all the ornaments of a wrathful deity, with OM (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om) on the crown of the head, AH (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah) on the throat, and HUNG (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hung) on the heart, from these syllables light radiates, inviting the wisdom beings from Akanishta, inseparable from the visualized deity, merging them into one with JAH HUM BAM HOH (Tibetan: ཛཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: जः हुं वं होः, Sanskrit Romanization: jaḥ hūṃ vaṃ hoḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Jah Hum Bam Hoh). If the nagas and demons are powerful, and you, as the antidote, become a powerful deity, then recite "Black Potipa Tsaya Naga Ra Tsa HUNG PHAT (Tibetan: ནག་པོ་ཏི་པ་ཙ་ཡ་ནཱ་ག་རཱ་ཙ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: nak po ti pa tsa ya nā ga rā tsa hūṃ phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Black Potipa Tsaya Naga Ra Tsa Hung Phat)". If you do not understand the key to recitation, but only force yourself to recite fierce mantras, you will see the situation of ending your own life. Whether reciting peaceful or fierce mantras, add "Shambur OM Naga Duna Tsandhe Tsandhe Mili Mili Bandha Bandha Nagani Sarva Bisha Tara Phat (Tibetan: ཤམ་བུར ཨོཾ་ནཱ་ག་དུ་ན་ཙནྡྷེ་ཙནྡྷེ་མི་ལི་མི་ལི་བྷནྡྷ་བྷནྡྷ་ནཱ་ག་ནི་སརྦ་བི་ཥ་ཏ་ར་ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: शम्बुर ओम् नाग दुन चन्दे चन्दे मिलि मिलि बन्ध बन्ध नागनि सर्व विष तर फट, Sanskrit Romanization: śambur om nāga duna cande cande mili mili bandha bandha nāgani sarva viṣa tara phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Shambur Om Naga Duna Tsandhe Tsandhe Mili Mili Bandha Bandha Nagani Sarva Bisha Tara Phat)", recite no less than a thousand times, then offer offerings with OM AH HUNG (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨཱཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम् आः हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ āḥ hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Ah Hung), and then dissolve the vase deity into light. Third, practice the Naga Vase and invoke the Nagas: In front of you, visualized as the deity, in a pleasure garden with Neusing trees and flowering trees, all the Nagas, malignant spirits, and earth lords of Jambudvipa reside, above them in the sky, a vast precious vase made of light, filled with milk and Naga medicine.

Above it, the Buddha who manifests as the Dragon King, with a blue body and white above the neck, holds the mudra (448) of liberating all dragons from the lower realms with both hands at his chest. From him emanates clear and cool light, and all dragons, fierce spirits, earth deities, etc., are involuntarily summoned as if blown by the wind, merging with the deity's form, and all their diseases and sufferings are eliminated. From his body descends a stream of nectar, filling the vase, and one should visualize it as having the power to nourish the dragon race. Recite: Om Namo Bhagavate Naga Shwara Rajaya Naga Sarva Durgate Shanting Kuru Svaha. After reciting as much as possible, offer the Dharani that bestows happiness upon the dragons: Tadyatha Dharani Dharani Udari Ni Sam Pratishthati Vijaya Varna Padtya Prati Kapa Raha Nyanna Vadati Udhi Sadhani Binamani Abishechani Abibyaha Ra Shubha Havati Ajimadu Ehi Kum Salani Baha Haro Kashana Dhuna Papam Shodhaya Marganani Rihaga Dharmata Shuddha Loga Biti Mari Ratzasaduvashamana Sarva Shuddha Avalokana Adhishtari Pradnya Nyana Be Svaha. Fourth, reconcile with the dragon race and restore body and mind: For the Torma activities, recite the six-syllable mantra or the six-armed Avalokiteshvara mantra. If abbreviated, bless with the Akashagarbha Bodhisattva. Visualize oneself as Arya Khasarpana Avalokiteshvara. Possessing Bodhicitta, (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrih, Hrih, seed syllable) is the自在 of Avalokiteshvara (449). You are beings with self-nature, the evil dragon race of animals, dwelling in all elements, possessing the gentle nature of the royal family, the Brahmin caste who control good and evil, the ignorant caste who bring harm, and so on. Mainly there are wealth increasers, conch shell guardians, and lotus, great lotus dwellers, possessing lineage, the source of endless power, and the fierce spirit caste dwelling in the sky, the earth deities who rule the earth, loving couples, servants, etc., come and enjoy with a peaceful mind.
