获得人身是不可能估计的。只看世间人和其他动物的多少就知道了。人中从事佛法的人，也像白天的星星一样稀少。暂时的安乐富裕不是永恒的，是变化的性质。而且，总是被苦苦和遍行苦所折磨，像猎物被逼到绝境一样，享受着现在的痛苦，造作着来世痛苦的原因，这是非常大的过失。因此，轮回的自性是痛苦的监狱，暂时快乐最终悲伤，所作所为都是罪恶，积累的都是他人的，事情多，意义少，与非福德关系密切，如果不努力从这里解脱，死后只有堕入恶趣。如果生于恶趣，地狱是在燃烧的铁地上，用刀和剃刀等锋利的武器劈开身体，在山间奔跑，头身分离，在沸水中煮，被武器刺穿，甚至连心肝都燃烧等八热地狱。在风雪交加中身体僵硬，因寒冷而使肉裂成碎片的八寒地狱。这种痛苦的种类不会不发生（４４７），没有事情可做的近边地狱和近邻地狱两种，共十八地狱。多年听不到饮食的名字，感受不到冷热的饿鬼有三类。强者吃弱者。此外，由于业力的作用，互相吞食，被人役使，为了肉和皮而被杀害，被杀的方式不同，痛苦和恐惧无法估量，这些如果降临到自己头上，又怎么能忍受那样的痛苦呢？即使得到善趣，人也有生老病死，担心拥有的会减少，寻找没有的却找不到，与敌人相遇，与亲人分离，被赋税所困扰等等，这些都是我们亲眼所见和亲身经历的。同样，欲界的天人们虽然暂时看起来快乐，但因为非常放逸而懈怠，疏于修持来世的利益。

Obtaining a human body is beyond estimation. It is known just by looking at the number of humans and other animals in the world. Even among humans, those who engage in Dharma activities are as rare as stars in the daytime. Temporary happiness and prosperity are not permanent, they are of a changing nature. Moreover, they are constantly tormented by the suffering of suffering and the pervasive suffering of conditioning, like prey cornered, experiencing present suffering while creating the causes for future suffering, which is a great fault. Therefore, the nature of samsara is a prison of suffering, temporarily pleasant but ultimately sorrowful, all actions are sinful, all accumulations are under the control of others, many things to do, little meaning, closely related to non-merit, if one does not strive to escape from this, there is no choice but to wander in the lower realms after death. If born in the lower realms, hell is on a burning iron ground, where the body is split open by the power of sharp weapons such as knives and razors, running between mountains, head and body separated, boiled in boiling water, pierced by weapons, even the liver and heart burning, and so on, the eight hot hells. In the midst of snowstorms and winds, the body is stiffened, and the flesh is split into pieces by the cold, the eight cold hells. These kinds of suffering will not fail to occur (447), the two ephemeral and neighboring hells where there is nothing to do, a total of eighteen hells. For many years, one does not hear the names of food and drink, and does not feel the heat and cold, the three categories of hungry ghosts. The strong eat the weak. Furthermore, due to the power of karma, they devour each other, are used by humans, are killed for meat and skin, and the ways of killing are different, the suffering and fear are immeasurable, if these fall upon oneself, how can one endure such suffering? Even if one obtains a good rebirth, humans have birth, old age, sickness, and death, fear that what one has will decrease, searching for what one does not have but cannot find, meeting enemies, separating from loved ones, being tormented by taxes, and so on, these are what we have seen and experienced ourselves. Similarly, the gods of the desire realm may seem happy for a while, but because they are very careless and distracted, they neglect to practice for the benefit of future lives.
