Please behold! I beseech the Blessed One to grace my courtyard. Not manifested by karma, but the trace of your coming, A bathing chamber, layered and fragrant. With crystal and jewels as the foundation, pillars and beams complete, There, hang tapestries of turquoise, red coral, and pearls. Here, together with the supreme son of the Sugata lineage, From jeweled vases filled with scented water, The beautiful maidens performing the bathing rituals, Compete to offer transformations of song, dance, and music. Skilled in the rituals of close attendance, with nimble deer eyes, And the leisure of serving with wiping, anointing, and massaging, Not clinging to the sensory pleasures of a single color, Acquire divine substances that have not been woven, Fine cloth adorned by wish-fulfilling trees, Free from the burden of weight (153), light, soft, and spacious garments, Immersed and anointed with fragrance and scented water, And precious ornaments whose value is beyond words, Bracelets, armlets, earrings, crowns, and so forth, Even the Muni who has relinquished the qualities of desire, Accepts them for the sake of accumulating merit. The close sons such as the Lord of the World, And the auspicious aeon's beings who liberate from the lower realms, The sixteen Bodhisattvas and the forms of householders, The virtuous Dharma practitioners, always Du and Licchavi, Also offer to the renowned one who is without stain. On the chariot of fragrance that pervades the three thousand worlds, The sweet scent of sandalwood incense wafts, The source of myriad merits, the body adorned with auspicious marks, Anoint with that which surpasses the steadfastness of refined gold. On the crystal ground of equanimity and vastness, Spread out loving lotuses, blooming with a thousand petals, Displaying the sun and moon of compassion, shining brilliantly. I beseech the Blessed One of great bliss, together with your sons, to dwell here. With a body bowed in a manner that is not clumsy or unfamiliar, With reverence in my heart, fully displaying realization, With palms clasped together, filled with flowers (154), This is the conduct of a young novice monk. The Sugata's qualities, such as possessing knowledge and feet, All virtues, like the aeons of abiding in the world, At the moment of arriving in the garden of faith, Not weariness, but the hairs stand on end. Like a crescent moon entering a bathing pond, Like a peacock's daughter playing and frolicking, The number of youth equals the number of dust particles, And the arising of extreme miracles keeps the hands busy. The abundant wealth that perfects the limb of generosity, And what is symbolized by this

Emanating from an unfatigued mind, Clouds of offerings that are unsurpassed, Jealousy arises towards the conduct of Samantabhadra. False speech, evil deeds, and habitual sins, Fearing virtue, fleeing to other places, All concealed in the thick darkness of existence, Purified and confessed by the blazing sun of the four powers. Though self-nature is not disturbed by any action, Yet with the difference of a single thought, In an instant, stealing the virtuous deeds of others, One only rejoices in such conduct. Untamed by the conduct of samsara without liberation, No matter how hard and stiff the whip, Those without stable means of taming, are urged to turn the Dharma wheel with sharp spokes. Those abandoned by the Buddhas and their sons, These beings see suffering as a temporary support, On the throne of non-extinction, They pile up the value of all things. Even the virtuous deeds that tremble with self-grasping, Are cries of increasing height once in existence, This is the alchemy of dedicating to enlightenment, This is not found in the teachings of other teachers. If not satisfied with the drink of contentment nectar, Even the offering clouds not remembered in the minds of men, Fearing to wander to the edge of words, One cares about one's own perpetual poverty. Vowing to be a servant of the Three Jewels, The cool shade, the charming Sal tree flower, Even in the presence of the confused Lord of Death, One does not know the value of destroying anger. Thus, I, the sinful one, overcome by the power of ignorance, Like a clear mirror that is carefully polished, In the mind (156) where the stains of merit are purified, The image obtained through the ceremony of generating bodhicitta appears. Those who have fallen into the abyss of hundreds of faults, Those patients severely afflicted by plague, Do not breathe before ordinary doctors, Especially take refuge in the supreme physician. For what intention have you come here, The Three Jewels who care for the realm of sentient beings, Among the unique assembly of Mahayana individuals, The one who shines brightly, Taking refuge in the three places, Awakening with three requests, Taking the vows of the bodhicitta of the Buddhas and their sons, And all the precepts of the training.
