Furthermore, there are many more. In all four aspects of daily conduct, one should give to the Three Jewels, which is the discipline of the gods, and the six recollections. One should possess mindfulness of the suchness of all phenomena. Moreover, just as the teachings of the Avatamsaka Sutra are applied straightforwardly like a wooden cart, when the accumulation of virtue is completely pure in conduct and the mind becomes strong, even the lifting and placing of one's feet while walking, and all actions of the three doors, enter the path of the six perfections without effort. This is a very swift method for perfecting the two accumulations. As it is said in the Compendium of Trainings: "My body and possessions, and all the virtues arising in the three times, (237) I give to all sentient beings, and protect, purify, and increase them." The latter two lines, when connected with the stages and paths, mean: the beginner protects, purifies with aspirational conduct, gives in the seven impure stages, and increases in the three pure stages. This method is extensively explained in the Compendium of Trainings, and should be understood there. Among these, the discipline of benefiting sentient beings is explained by "with skillful means," etc. Having understood the trainings of the Bodhisattva grounds, with skillful means, whether directly or indirectly, one is dedicated to benefiting all sentient beings. One practices the three kinds of giving, speaks pleasing words to make others happy, and to make those to be tamed trust, one also practices truthfully oneself, and one also does what is in accordance with what one teaches others. This discipline of gathering the four means of attraction and all virtuous qualities is like opening a door to enter the island of enlightenment without obstruction, and the opportunity is very vast. Regarding this, six things to be examined are also taught, explained by "to whom," etc. That is, for those who enter this path, one should examine the foundation and the other two, decline due to contaminated branches, and the decline of wealth and Dharma, and wealth, totaling six aspects. In short, it is to examine one's own prosperity (238) and decline in the Dharma. One should benefit others without violating the trainings of the Dharma path, and examine whether one has the mistakes of ordinary beings arising from selfishness in one's mind, and strive to eliminate faults from the root. Regarding the situation of negligence, it is explained by "towards others," etc.

If it is possible to accomplish great deeds, sometimes small regulations of precepts are relaxed. For example, villages are abandoned for the sake of city rituals, land is given up for self-protection, and even oneself is given up for the sake of Dharma, and so on. Next, the patience paramita just mentioned will be explained. In order to show the chapter, "here" etc. are said. This world, called "Mijian," is difficult to distinguish by suffering, etc., or in terms of shortcomings and advantages. According to the first statement, the end of the karma and afflictions of beings cannot be distinguished; according to the latter statement, because the power and merit of patience of the bodhisattvas in this pure land are very vast, they will not be distinguished by harm. Whichever is written is acceptable, just like using the earth as a metaphor, in order to protect the growing good name of the Dharma without weakening it, it is further divided into enduring various difficult learning places, enduring not being angry or indifferent to the perpetrator, and enduring the heart to accommodate profound meanings without fear, these three types. Among them, beginners mainly practice patience to prevent anger, so "the mind is" etc. are said. Those whose minds are very stiff, the manifestation of the sins of hatred created by untamedness, in a prison darker than darkness, who are imprisoned in a hellish prison from which there is no escape and are afraid, should never give anger a chance. The Bodhisattvacharyavatara says: There is no sin like hatred, there is no asceticism like patience, so one should diligently cultivate patience in various ways. Regarding the way to tame one's own mind, "the harm" etc. are said. The objects of harm are as numerous as the thorns in the forest, and it is impossible to tame them one by one, and they will continue to grow. Therefore, there is only one maker of resentment and anger, and that is self-grasping. If self-grasping is tamed, then the asceticism of patience (240), this unbearable burden, will become friendly to oneself. The cause of harm is brought about by one's own conceptual thoughts, which is indicated by "contact" etc. Like this, contact
