It is because that is the image of conceptual thought. So, this is because of the power of wisdom that realizes the exhaustion of the transformation of consciousness into selflessness. What was said above is general; it is different to distinguish by whether or not the special reality is thoroughly understood. In the sutra requested by Huideng (233), below the condemnation of the precepts with conceptualization, it says: For whom there is no arrogance of holding precepts and not holding precepts, and there is no conceptualization, that is the completely pure precepts of Nirvana. It is said like that. Even so, just as when a small river flows into the ocean, it will be transformed into salt water. Even if the self-character changes on the path of progress, here it is explained by what is called "the theory of destruction," and so on. That is to say, for those who think that the three root vows will be transformed, there is no need to modify them, because if you want to confess the sins that arise from the perspective of individual liberation, then since you have already transformed into a Bodhisattva, you will be harmed by contradiction. If you want to confess from the perspective of the upper Bodhisattva's vows, that is also unreasonable. If it is allowed, there will be no possibility of contradiction, so there is no need to confess for that itself has not produced sins, this is abandoning sophistry. However, for those who claim to be Vidyadharas with three conditions who have entered the path, from the perspective of consciousness, there is no way to universally transform, it is explained by what is called body and speech, and so on. Individual liberation is a precept with form arising from body and speech, or for the kind that has the seed of constantly practicing the mind of abandoning afflictions (234) and has the power of clinging to reality increasing, it will not be mixed into the upper level, before transforming afflictions and practicing the upper path, etc., without being taken by skillful means and wisdom, even if one enters the Mahayana path and receives empowerment, one is not a Vajra Holder who has obtained the transformation of the three root vows. So, if you think who knows the degree of transformation? It is explained by what is called precepts, and so on. To purify the precepts, it is necessary to completely purify the mind, to purify the mind, it is necessary to naturally generate Bodhicitta in the yoga of the deity, if one is accustomed to the wisdom of the indivisibility of appearance and emptiness that purifies that itself to the extent of proficiency, then, since the established sins are dependent on others, they will be interrupted by arising and conditions.

It is certain to perish. Because at this time, there is no clinging to their self-characteristics, there is no gain or loss, and there is no contradiction in any of the three times, beginning, middle, and end, because it is encompassed by the ultimate truth. Therefore, as the nature of vows, the transformation of conventional truth is easy to accomplish. How it is accomplished will be explained in the tenth chapter of the "Stages of Arising." Even so, it is explained by "special basis" and so on, that is, for those lineages that possess the basis of the three vehicles (Pratimoksha, Bodhisattva, and Vajrayana vows) and the thought, and both the faults and merits of permission and prohibition, which have true establishment and manifestation (235), because the three vows that are practiced with faith are certain, so for the individuals who possess these, it is crucial. If they abide, the three abide separately; if they are protected, they will be mixed, so they must be protected separately. If they are possessed without being damaged, they are possessed upwards; if they are repaired, then from where they are damaged, the damaged part is taken out, and the repair is accomplished through confession. Why? Because if it becomes a cause for generating faults, then everything must be prevented; if it remains as a cause for generating virtue and merit, then it must be allowed. The difference in meaning between permission and prohibition is very great, but it does not exist on the path of words, but is established in connection with the individual's mindstream. As it is said in the "Garland of Jewels": "For the general, make a special distinction, all scriptures praise." Thus, by taming the mindstream with the discipline of vows, and then through "the perfection of the discipline of gathering Dharma" and so on, that is, the merits of the two vast accumulations related to the six perfections such as generosity, whatever has not arisen, make it arise; for what has arisen, make it increase, this is called the discipline of gathering Dharma, which is encompassed by the discipline of intention. That is, the virtue that is encompassed by love and compassion (236) is: wherever it is, whatever is done for the benefit of beings is generosity; for this, the absence of selfish desire is discipline; the absence of weariness in accomplishing the benefit of others is patience; entering into this activity with special joy is diligence; focusing single-mindedly on the affairs of beings is meditation; abandoning attachment to things and signs is wisdom. Therefore, the six perfections are never separate. Here, it is explained from the perspective of not being lazy in serving the benefit of beings, in one aspect, and from this arise various categories.
