The third of the Napo (stages). In particular, because of possessing great wisdom to work for the benefit of others, and striving in skillful means, and the power of wisdom being extremely outstanding, one attains Buddhahood at the end of three countless eons. The vow established by scriptural authority in the "Madhyamaka Jewel Lamp" is unshakable. Its rationality is explained by "how" and so on. Just as the sequence of seeds falling on the ground is wasted if many favorable conditions are not gathered, the excellence of bodhicitta is not just in arising, its nature becomes power (167), and without obstruction, only arising is important. The difference in the power from which it arises is explained by "three powers" and so on: The power of thought is to become skilled in great compassion, the power of action is to accumulate merit, and the power of cause is to take special refuge. Because bodhicitta arises from these three powers, one should diligently emphasize great compassion, accumulating merit, and taking refuge. Such thought and action are said to be the power of action and cause. The basis is explained by "the basis of" and so on. The person who is the basis is divided into two types: Generally, even the Hinayana has just the arising of mind, but it does not use its rituals. Here, the Mahayana is divided into two schools, the Mind-Only school and the Madhyamaka school. According to the first, one must hold any of the seven types of individual liberation vows. As the "Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment" says: "Those who constantly have the seven types of individual liberation vows, those who have other vows, have the potential for the bodhisattva vows, others do not." The second is that in the "Ratnakuta Sutra," the mind is considered the main basis (168). Following it is the path of Madhyamaka, the opportunity to enter is very broad. In order to explain the action of arising that mind, it is said "accumulating merit" and so on. Accumulating merit extensively is the method and cause for especially arising bodhicitta. All beings have the essence of the Sugata, that is the cause, and the condition is completely relying on a virtuous friend, one needs to rely on these three. Furthermore, the virtuous friend is the source of all qualities such as hearing, thinking, and meditating, like a wish-fulfilling jewel-like lama.

Whichever lineage it may be, constantly striving for the benefit of others, that, in the sequence of the general Dharma which is virtuous in the beginning, middle, and end, and especially the immeasurable qualities of the mind of enlightenment well explained in the Ornament and Tree Arrangement Sutra, is the entire meaning of the method for taming motivation. The preliminary practice of accumulating collections is shown by things such as what is called 'Kyangnul'. Wherever the place is Kyangnul, that is, a place adorned and made beautiful with exterior paintings (169), made like a palace. Together with sprinkling with scented water of saffron and other fragrances. The one taking vows should also wash clean the face and other five limbs. With the mind thinking only of the Rare and Supreme Ones, being delighted and joyful at extensively arranging outer and inner offerings like a rain of jewels. Thus, upon the well-arranged arrangement of the mandala. Inviting all the supports of the commitment, the supports of body, speech, and mind, images and so forth, and requesting them to be seated there. The ritual of hooking with the iron hook of intention the assembly of wisdom beings abiding in the pure realm, and causing them to abide in the support, is such that, in the moment of practicing it, compassion enters more quickly than remembering the vows set at a time with a pledge, so the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas surpass the time of looking to other realms and are pleased and loving in this place alone. The sequence of verbal recitation, which is a branch of that, is. As it is said in 'Whatever it may be' and so forth (170). 'Whatever it may be' is a word that pervades generally, even though it has become the refuge, protector, army, and friend of all sentient beings without exception, just as the Blessed One and retinue, who know and see manifestly how many enemies there are in the army of the hordes of demons, please come to my dwelling, that is, this place. Offering is an evil motivation of horses, cattle, and so forth transformed by the work of illusion, so it is not like that. So it is. Well then, wouldn't all the offerings transformed by the gods of delight and the controllers of others' transformations, and also by meditative stabilization, become like that? Answer: The first two sides are temporarily able to function in the appearance of samsara, and are the valid conventional truth. The latter is the all-good offering that has been without increase or decrease from the beginning.
