For the sons who should practice, there is no moment more excellent than the Buddha's time. As stated in the "One Hundred and Fifty Praises": All these beings are bound by undifferentiated afflictions. You, in order to liberate beings from afflictions, have long held them with compassion. Thus and so on. It is the nature of things that there is no knowledge hidden from his omniscience that could exist in the realm of space. As stated in the previous passage: Only your wisdom pervades all that is knowable. For all others besides you, only knowledge remains. As it is said. Even the merit of a single pore can only be fully known by the Buddha himself, and even the great Bodhisattvas who occupy the great earth cannot exhaustively say, "It is only this much." For example, if a young and strong eagle attempts to measure the end of the sky, it will not reach the end, it will not touch the edge, and eventually it will only exhaust its own strength, become tired and exhausted, and be pressed down by the heavy burden of both ends, and then return. As stated in the "Sutra of Meeting Father and Son": Though bird tracks can measure the sky, and the ocean can be measured with a vase, the limits of the Buddha's merits cannot be known. Thus and so on. Therefore, the sutra explains with statements such as "There is no second refuge in this place." In this world, the wheel of samsara turns again and again, and due to the fault of accumulating bad karma, those who lack virtue, seeing that any other refuge such as the Chakravartin king and the great Ishvara cannot deceive them, thus fear suffering, generate faith in liberation, generate compassion for beings, and in these three ways, single-mindedly think of others, and with the mind of a great person, remember the merits of the Three Jewels, and thus take refuge. How is the benefit of taking refuge as a cause explained? For example, the immeasurable sky can be known through the flight of an eagle. Similarly, for the Three Jewels as an example, the limits of the results of good and bad karma cannot be estimated. If the merit of taking refuge were to take form, then it would not be able to be contained in the vessel of space, therefore it is able to rely on itself.

It is not so. From that time onwards, one enters the fold of the inner Buddhist, becoming a basis suitable for all vows, creating all sins and obscurations, abandoning harmful aspects, (147) protecting from the precipice of the lower realms, inseparable from the Three Jewels, fully endowed, coming to the Dharma visible in this life, and will perfect the accumulation of merit, and will accomplish the two form bodies of the enjoyment body and the emanation body. The benefit of refuge in the result is shown by "result," etc. The infallible quality of refuge in the result is that enlightenment in the inner realm of the three doors of liberation, namely emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, is the uncreated reality vajra, which is the result of perfecting the accumulation of wisdom, the essence of which is primordially pure, the nature of which is immediately pure, called the Buddha who possesses two purities, and will be manifestly attained. The precepts are shown by "precepts," etc. That is, there are two kinds of precepts: cause and effect. The first is: needless to say, one does not abandon it for the sake of obtaining the perfect reward of the king's dominion. One does not abandon the Three Jewels even for the sake of one's life. The individual vows are: since the essence of the Three Jewels is the lama, having taken refuge in him, one abandons deceiving the holy ones and proclaiming unpleasantness (148). Similarly, having taken refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, one abandons the three precepts of not prostrating to the gods who revolve in samsara, not harming others, and not associating with non-Buddhists as friends. One should serve the body, speech, and mind supports of the Three Jewels with faith, and one should practice taking refuge by abandoning forgetting for six periods of the day and night or completely. The second is that in the precepts of the result, the capable one is the Dharmakaya, and since one awakens to the suchness of one's own nature, which is free from separation, attainment, and abandonment, one does not fixate on the protector and the protected, and since it transcends the terms of dualistic grasping, abandoning the vows is merely a superimposed designation. The conditions for abandoning the stage of the path are: "cause," etc., were spoken. The limits of abandoning the vows of protection of the cause, the refuge with characteristics, take refuge.
