That is, it possesses both wisdom and liberation. The Protector Maitreya said: "In suchness and allness, because of pure wisdom's vision, the wise, non-returning assembly, possesses unsurpassed qualities." Thus, suchness is the quality of wisdom, allness is the quality of wisdom, and the quality of inner wisdom's vision, there are three. Becoming the nature of the uninterrupted path that is the means to attain that, the qualities of liberation from the three obscurations to be abandoned: attachment obscuration, hindrance obscuration, and inferior obscuration, there are six. The basis of division is the qualities of wisdom and the qualities of liberation added together, making eight. Such is the Sangha of Bodhisattvas. The Sangha of Hearers and Solitary Realizers includes Stream-enterers, Once-returners, Non-returners, and Arhats, these four, and those who have entered these fruits and those who abide in these fruits, two each. Entering the fruit and abiding in the fruit combined into one, they are the four pairs or eight individual types of persons. Although the qualities of one's own ground of all those who abide perfectly on the ground of the Buddha's sons are so numerous that they cannot be expressed, the nature of the path and protection is established in the sacred Dharma. Although the Dharma arises from the Teacher (Buddha), it is the support of the companions who accomplish it or all places of learning. Because it is the Sangha, it becomes the Three Jewels, the supreme refuge. The characteristic of taking refuge is explained by "in that," etc. In that, from the perspective of the vows of refuge that rely on cause and effect, the cause is the desire for the desired result to be accomplished at another time in the future. The refuge of the result is seeing one's own mind as the nature of the three bodies as it is, which is a special characteristic of the Vajrayana. The object of refuge of the cause is the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, the three jewels being the main ones. In mantra, knowing that the nature of that and that are integrated into the Guru, therefore this latter one is the main one. From the ultimate point of view, those are the conventional truth of the form body, and the Dharma is also abandoned as defiled when the lower path is gone to the upper path. Hearers, Solitary Realizers, Bodhisattvas, etc., still need to rely on the Buddha, so they are not valid objects. Moreover, it is said in the Uttaratantra: "Because of abandonment, because of being deceptive, because of non-existence, because of being subject to destruction, the two kinds of Dharma and the assembly of noble ones are not a permanent refuge."

Yes. Refuge is only the Buddha. The protector has the Dharmakaya. (143) The Sangha is also its ultimate. Thus it is said. According to the view of that scripture, even if it can be like just having explained the Dharma and Sangha, the Buddha is the ultimate praise. So, its individual meanings are explained as follows. In the Sutra of Repaying Kindness, it is requested: Is it taking refuge in the Rupakaya? Is it taking refuge in the Dharmakaya? The Lord of Speech said: Take refuge in the Dharmakaya. It is not taking refuge in the Rupakaya. Because the Rupakaya is not the Buddha. And so on. In Yeshe Drubpa it says: The primordial Buddha, pure and free from attainment, the unchanging, stainless Dharma, the Sangha with fully accomplished qualities, therefore one's own mind is supreme. As it is said. The person on whom one takes refuge has three types, shown by "only," etc. Among the three intentions of the mere, the excellent, and the unsurpassed, the first, the small person, goes from fear of the suffering of the lower realms to obtaining the state of higher rebirth. The middling one, fearing the various sufferings of samsara, seeks liberation, (144) the time is temporarily as long as one lives, and ultimately goes until obtaining the fruit of the Hearer and Solitary Realizer. The great person, fearing the attachment to his own peaceful mind, abandoning the benefit of others, goes until the supreme Bodhi in order to save all sentient beings in samsara to the state of the great liberator, the Buddha. Moreover, since one's own mind, the thusness that is naturally pure, has no defilements to be removed and no newly acquired qualities to be obtained, abandoning the deceiver is the fruit or the unsurpassed refuge. The Buddhas' compassion does not abandon the realm of beings, as stated in "path time," etc. In this regard, like the path of a dream, the path where the causes and effects of habits, the limits of karma, and uncertain confusion are each determined, that is, beings gathered by the five aggregates, at that time the Buddhas arise with compassion for the realm of sentient beings, without missing the opportunity. As it is said in the Hundred Deeds: The waves where makara fish dwell in the ocean may miss the time, but
