Even if the procedures are complete, one must make a firm vow, thinking that one is capable of being the basis and container of the inner limbs, and this is the only way to take refuge without deception. Before that, it is extremely important to understand the qualities of the teacher and the teachings. As it is said in "Praise of the Praiseworthy": "Although the external limbs are all powerful, the inner strength is not complete, and children only rely on suffering." As it is said. Seeing this reason, pure faith arises, and it is explained by "Methods of guiding the mind, all dharmas," etc. (p. 123). The root of all virtuous dharmas is faith, but since faith is not innate in the minds of ordinary people, it is not mentioned in the scriptures. When one sees the true body of the teacher Buddha or the incarnation of the lineage, or a virtuous friend, or reads any of the three baskets, the hair stands on end, like the leaves of a vine being blown by the wind, this is the first pure faith. Similarly, wanting to attain the true state is the second. Believing that this method relies only on the power of the Buddha is the third, and this mind is firm and does not regress is the fourth, thus four kinds of faith are proclaimed. Among them, in this stage of taking refuge, the first two are easy to lose, so one needs faith that does not regress even in the face of life-threatening danger. This also implies that the third kind of faith is also important. Furthermore, in order to show that the cause of arousing faith is not mistaken, "faith," etc. are proclaimed. In general, some noble lineages and those with good fortune have faith from the beginning, while for other first-time practitioners, the causes of arousing faith are (p. 124) four: relying on holy beings, associating with practitioners called holy friends, remembering the qualities of the Three Jewels, and contemplating the faults of samsara's lack of essence. Among them, in order to praise the qualities of the Three Jewels, "Muni," etc. are proclaimed. The qualities of the Muni Buddha Bhagavan are infinite, and on the path of seeing and meditation, the defilements and knowable aspects are purified by the abandonment of the two obscurations.

Because the two obscurations have been completely destroyed, the Buddha's, Dharma's, wisdom's, and divine eye, respectively, are: understanding the sharpness and dullness of beings' faculties; seeing the meaning of all phenomena being empty of inherent existence; knowing the cycle of birth and death of beings; and being able to see subtle and coarse forms from one hundred yojanas to three thousand great chiliocosms, etc. These are the respective qualities. The omniscient eye is included in the path of no more learning and is said to exist from the eighth bhumi onwards. Attach the various superknowledges below each one: the miraculous power, the divine ear, the knowledge of others' minds, the recollection of past lives, the divine eye, and the exhaustion of defilements. (125) The respective qualities of these six are: in order, the earth shaking, and the transformation of one into many is the first. Hearing all the great and small sounds of the world realm is the second. Understanding whether young people are free from afflictions is the third. Knowing the endless lifetimes of oneself and others is the fourth. Seeing all the subtle and coarse forms of kalpas and non-kalpas is the fifth. Knowing the method of abandoning the two obscurations and the non-separation of results is the sixth. Having mastery over life, over mind, over resources, over actions, over birth, over aspirations, over wishes, over miraculous powers, over wisdom, and over Dharma, respectively, are: being able to live as long as one wishes until the end of the kalpa; obtaining mastery over countless doors of samadhi; obtaining mastery over the treasury of space; showing the results of actions such as the place of crafts and skills; being able to be born wherever one desires; showing the world realm filled with the body of the Buddha; being able to spread the emanations of great enlightenment; for various kinds of beings to be tamed, simultaneously showing as many miraculous powers as there are; knowing all knowable things without obstruction; being proficient in all the words and meanings of the Dharma. These ten are the special qualities of the bodhisattvas of the three pure lands. The door of dharani is, Manjushri said: What is called dharani is: not losing memory, not being distracted by thoughts, wisdom not being obscured, manifesting wisdom, and knowing the extremely different words of all phenomena, and so on. The ten powers are, Chandrakirti said: The power of knowing what is possible and impossible, Likewise, the wisdom of the maturation of actions, Various intentions, understanding according to desire, The power of knowing various realms, Likewise, what is supreme and not supreme.
