The Third Turning of the Wheel is shown from "merely attaining the fruit" to "between." In order to show the desire for the refuge of merit, "high place" and so on are said. As Vasubandhu said, "With the desire for various qualities, if one does not strive to sow seeds, there will be no sprout arising. A single fault can destroy many qualities. Longevity, as well as being free from illness, beauty, a good kalpa, lineage, wealth, wisdom, and the like, are seven." Thus, the joy of the seven qualities of a high place, and the two specifically designated belonging to it, are not disturbed by the causes of non-leisure (117), and by obtaining the object of leisure, one is truly noble, and on that basis, one is also free from illness and happy. Being able to engage in samadhi, and the wisdom that distinguishes between definitive and provisional teachings. These five are the direct realization of reverence for the place of merit in the past. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras, "The cause of joy and birth in a leisure place, as well as being free from illness and samadhi, and discrimination, is the accumulation of merit in the past." As it is said. Some of its opposites are shown by "unmeditated" and so on. By studying the object of knowledge but not meditating, one destroys the antidote to ignorance—wisdom. Pride, that is, being arrogant with self-regard, and the mind expanding, destroys wealth. Anger, that is, extreme hatred, destroys the object of goodness. Attachment and craving for the object of desire undoubtedly destroy correct view. That is also what is said in the Wish-Fulfilling Tree, "Unmeditated destroys wisdom, expanding pride destroys wealth, extreme hatred (118) destroys goodness, attachment destroys correct view." As it is said. Although the ways of doing good are similar only in appearance, the power of having true conduct is the power of becoming a cause. Why? It is shown by "because of what" and so on. Because of special effort, good wisdom that has not been disturbed or defiled by the sins of karma and afflictions, from its own side is the power of discriminating wisdom, and from the other side is used by obtaining the share of the excellent Dharma, that is, being able to engage in the three doors of body, speech, and mind, is from previous lives.

Thus, it is known from the Ornament of the Sutras that it is not the power of anyone else but the sign of displaying one's own form through accumulating vast merit. So it is said. This principle is also recorded in the Tale of the One Without Sorrow: Merit cannot be burned by fire, nor will it be destroyed by wind. Merit cannot be dissolved by water, nor will it scatter like earth. Kings and thieves cannot steal the merit that abides. Men and women are not able to take it away. Merit is a treasure that generates happiness. (119) It will not be left behind here, but wherever one is born, it will follow. And so on, others are also widely seen. Thus, merely looking at merit with respect should not only focus on temporary happiness, but should generate great courage with faith in the Dharma, as shown by what is said about "towards the Dharma" and so on. In this way, aiming for the state of omniscience, putting on the armor of focusing solely on practicing the sacred Dharma, which can never be broken by any circumstance, should be truly firm, deep, vast, and like an ocean-like realm of Dharma in all ways, comparing it to the bow of the lord of gods, even the mighty strongmen of the four continents cannot shake it, but if it is in hand, it will dispel all doubts about whether one has wisdom or not. If one succumbs to weakening courage due to inability and begins preparation, then even for a moment one will not deviate from the path of the unpredicted, but will only go upon the six perfections. The corresponding aspect of this, just as one gathers food and other necessities to go somewhere, in order to become a condition for the activities of merit, practicing the seven-limbed prayer, and all methods of accumulating merit and purifying obscurations through sprinkling water, reciting "Om Mani Padme Hum (藏文:ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओँ मणि पद्मे हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡啊! 吽!)" etc., because one has become a child of the Buddhas, one will not be overwhelmed by unfavorable sinful forces, and while gradually progressing on the path, relying on the accumulation of vast merit, this is the path of the great being. Thus, the meaning of the four wheels in between is revealed. This is the commentary on the fifth chapter of the Jewel Treasury of Qualities.

Now, in order to explain entering the teachings, the supreme refuge, "fear," etc., are taught. That is to say, generally, the suffering of samsara, the need to focus on one's own benefit, and the most important thing is to recognize ordinary illusions. In this era of being submerged by the turbulent waves of the three fears, it is reasonable to take refuge. As said by Diggaja: "The bottomless and boundless samsara exists in the ocean, with desires and other detestable things, the body devoured by crocodiles, then where will one seek refuge?" As (121) says, even the arrogant ones like Brahma, Indra, and the hundred deities praised by outsiders have not transcended the realm of samsara, so abandon them. Now is the time to believe from the depths of one's heart in the one worthy of praise, and to secure the life of liberation. What is that? The scholar-monk Acharya Siddha says: "I have abandoned other teachers and take refuge in you, why is that? Because you have no faults and your qualities are complete." And in the "One Hundred and Fifty Praises" it says: "Wherever, in whom, all faults are completely non-existent, and wherever, in every way, all qualities abide, if there is a mind, one should take refuge in that one, praise that one, respect that one, and abide in that one's teachings." Not only the Buddha, but also the Dharma he taught, and the Sangha who follow him, the fame of these Three Jewels alone can pacify the suffering of samsara, so that which is like a white umbrella is what should be cherished at the very beginning of entering the inner teachings. As it is said in the Nirvana Sutra: "Like the steps of a ladder, my profound teachings should also be learned and diligently practiced step by step, not transcending the order, but systematically." Like this. The necessity of the connection between the support and the supported is explained through "liberation," etc. That is to say, the skillful means and great compassion of the master, in order to lead sentient beings to true liberation, have already explained the three trainings, that is, the source of the collection of qualities of abandonment and realization, therefore the external aspects
