It is said in the "Buddha of a Hundred Thousand Kalpas": One should know that the teacher is the most excellent. Why do all the Buddhas of the kalpas arise by relying on teachers? Like this, for the wise who possess meaning, in all times of the three times, in the ten directions of the fields (105), the Sugatas, the victorious ones, all come and pay homage with praise and longing. As it is widely said, for the sake of service and administration, the actions of body and speech, whether subtle or gross, will never be without fruit, so they will not be wasted. Especially from the three kinds of satisfaction, the offering of material things, and the diligent performance of service with body and speech, these are the best, and the latter is the best. To show how to prevent the faults of one's own appearance: It is said, "Actions," and so on. As mentioned above, after carefully examining the teacher, once one has relied on a teacher who is deemed suitable, no matter what actions the teacher performs, one should not have wrong views. In the holy land of India, most of the lords of yoga act without cleanliness, like the Chandalas of mixed caste. Slaves and others only strive to make a living, like the poor. Engaging in the work of hunters, fishermen, and killing birds, taking the form of sinful actions, although there are situations that are even more degenerate than degeneration, However, because they act according to the wishes of the disciples to be tamed, Therefore, what one takes close to oneself is the mind, After taming (106), until one is not free, holding one's own confused appearances as the faults of others, truly grasping them, the fault of examination is endless, it is immeasurable. The monk Star Good, who is well versed in the twelve divisions of scripture, when he is corrupted by the power of sin and becomes confused, Then, even the pure actions of the faultless, virtuous teacher, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, are seen as deception. Think well about this situation, and what else do you look at? Therefore, one should examine oneself, Strive to correct oneself and walk on the path of virtue. If I have done something wrong or not done something wrong, and the teacher seems to be unkind and even shows anger, However, the great being's heart has no hypocrisy, so he will not hide what appears, but will point it out directly. Then I must have done something bad, so it is considered a fault.

In the Vinaya of the Sakya school, it is said that when the time is right, one should truly and accurately confess past mistakes and be careful to guard against them in the future. One who acts in this way is like an enlightened being and will never fall under the control of demons. The above is an explanation of this. In terms of conduct, the way to rely on the guru, etc., has already been explained. When the guru rises (107), one should immediately rise oneself, not remain seated. When the guru is seated, one should not speak loudly, but respectfully ask if the guru is well and offer whatever necessities the guru may need. When the guru departs, the attendant should not walk in front or behind, nor should they walk on the right side, because that would mean turning one's back to the guru in succession, stepping on the guru's footprints, and being at the head of the line, all of which would cause faults and should be avoided. Slightly turning to the side, one should walk on the left. Couches and other cushions and low seats, sitting on them or riding on them, etc., will cause merit to decline, so one should be careful. In addition, when opening and closing doors and windows, do not slam them, and do not wear excessively ornate clothing, etc. Do not be coquettish, but rather compose your face and remain dignified. Avoid lying, frivolous jokes, and irrelevant conversations. In short, all actions that are disrespectful, unafraid, and impulsive should be avoided. As it says in the Sutra of the Collection: Why does one who has become a saint perform impermanent and changing deeds? Deceiving all the saints, one will fall into the Vajra Hell. And (108) it says in the Ornament Sutra: Arrogantly filling oneself with rude words, one will fall into hell for thousands of kalpas. Falsely accusing profound words, one will fall into the Avici Hell. And it says in the Tantra of the Secret Collection: A disciple who boasts of being greater than the supreme guru and speaks arrogantly will fall headfirst into hell for countless kalpas. Therefore, it is essential to be very careful and to rely on the guru with the three doors of body, speech, and mind pacified and tamed. The above is an explanation of this. Do not associate with non-believers, as has been explained in the Guru, etc. That is to say, even if one is not at fault oneself, one should not associate with those who insult, curse, and hate the guru, not even once. Why? Because a person with a perverse mind is a harbinger of falling off a cliff.
