I am related to lineage, practice is related to experience, conduct is related to time, and the fruit (262) is related to benefiting others. Therefore, for those who are led astray by ignorance, the guiding lama must possess perfect qualities of renunciation and realization. If this is not the case, then merely the dense meditation of abiding in the mind is like a bump under the snow, difficult to recognize. In this era, in this meditation center of Pal Tsering Jong, there are about eight or nine practitioners who have completed three-year retreats. In addition, there are monks and yogis who rely on shelters and meditation cushions for solitary practice, and their meditation practice is very diligent. Even at night, the time is divided into three parts, with the middle part used for sleep. In order to be more diligent in virtuous practice during the two periods, a special clock is arranged. The leg bone horn is used as a time signal, and mental observation and occasional patrolling awareness are conducted. Dharma Lord Götsangpa said, "Half the time for practice, half the time for Dharma activities," and this statement has also been confirmed. Most of those who live here have sources and support in the worldly realm, and they reside in the monastery to avoid fear and pray for auspiciousness. They do not wear coarse cloth for ease and noise, but entrust their minds to the lama, entrust their losses to food, clothing, and talk, and come thinking only of the Dharma. Therefore, even leftovers are distributed by the monks themselves and shared as alms. They are happy to enter the Dharma and speak sweetly. They endure adversity and fatigue, and strive to practice benefiting others in every possible way. They destroy the hypocrisy of pursuing profit and fame, and abide in the Dharma, which is in accordance with (263) meaning. Although the four means of gathering are actually present, they are not taught because of conformity. Malkawa Kenpa said, "Give me the cushion, offer the hand to others, speak the Dharma outwards, and hope to receive service from others. I do not need a retinue of monks." The actions of using the Great Vehicle Dharma for the Small Vehicle are inconceivable. Therefore, when the objects of taming are ripe and able to benefit sentient beings, one should especially learn the conduct of the Great Vehicle. They looked at the Hundred Jataka Tales and generated great Bodhicitta, and incorporated these meanings into their aspirations.

He also composed a commentary praised as "The Garland of Excellent Men," and "The Joy of Pranidhana," which is praised as a vine of excellent poetry from the lineage of the Treatise on the Generations of Men. If one does not consider the faults of accumulating, guarding, and increasing, it seems that one can become rich immediately. However, the poor even have tsampa that lasts only a short time. Therefore, from the perspective of scarcity, regarding stinginess as asceticism seems to be the practice of a Bodhisattva. In any case, one should strive to engage in activities such as torma gatherings and offerings. Even if water is not available, one should try to complete the daily torma. Fearing the fault of deceiving the Three Jewels, one should mix the best tsampa for offering tsampa. Taking this as an example, those practitioners who rely on water ash also establish daily tormas even without water. By the truth that cause and effect are not deceptive, consumption will not decrease. As an example of a hundred offerings, a large amount of offering leftovers are mostly sent to monasteries and beggars. Especially this year, in order to eliminate the poverty of spirits and hungry ghosts, a vast amount of torma offerings were given, satisfying both oneself and the local beggars connected to the offering. The characteristics of the torma rituals, such as the "Burning Mouth" and "Distinguishing the Definitive and Interpretive Meanings," are complete, but the oral instructions of the Omniscient Great One have not spread anywhere. If not just foolish faith, but even the accomplished lineages and practices are propagated without error, it would be delightful, so I have made every effort to propagate them. Around this time, the Tibetan nobles also sent some offerings. If offerings are placed in the hands of lamas and officials, the auspicious connection of holding them in their hearts will arise, and they will come to know the Three Jewels, the lords of the lineage. In solitude, one does not know when one will die, so one reduces unnecessary thoughts, and also knows that in front of others, one's arrogant and complacent appearance will be seen, so one is humble, having liberated one's mind through hearing. Wherever I go, people are kind to me, so wealth has not decreased, nor have I shown off with possessions. Seeing the old Kadampa monasteries, I also maintained the auspicious connection of the monasteries. Forty-five is the limit of life, so one must accumulate merit and purify obscurations.
