Not separated. Looking at the self-liberation. (807) No need to say more than that. Samaya. Furthermore, what need is there to mention meditating on objects? It is not even meditating on emptiness. This present, unadulterated awareness, protect it with mindfulness, son of lineage. This is the instruction to Lho Ngang Modpa. Homage to the Lama Je. From the moment of obtaining the leisure and endowment, until abiding in emptiness, everything is oral instruction. However, to fulfill your expectations, I will say a little and apply it to the meaning. All virtuous actions not grasped by bodhicitta are mere imitations. Rather than accumulating hundreds of thousands of mind-generations, for those in whom compassion has arisen in their minds, it is not enough to meditate on emptiness alone. One must be free from the mind that clings to emptiness. Even if you realize the meaning of non-meditation, if you do not protect it without wavering, then the unpredicted thief (808) and the co-emergent ignorance, in the past also obscured the Sugata-garbha, and now also because there is no accumulation, keep the meaning of the six dharmas of Kuntuzangpo without separation. This is for Rigdzin Lhundrup. In this samsara, what is rare is the body support with leisure and endowment. Have you not seen that from the moment of birth, one is already caught in the mouth of the Lord of Death? If you discriminate between the acceptance and rejection of karma and its results, have you not seen the suffering of samsara? These various kinds of happiness and suffering, high and low, are all done by oneself, not by chance. The root of Dharma is bodhicitta, and all virtuous actions separate from it are great in distraction and small in accomplishment. Do you know sentient beings as your parents? Always look at your own mind. If you look but do not see, the foundation is broken. To look at emptiness by saying "there is not" is a great precipice of nihilistic views (809). Therefore, existence and non-existence, meditation and non-meditation, are all drawings of the mind. Examine it, do not adorn it, the natural face, beyond subject and object, the true awareness, in the firm, inconceivable, and inexpressible awareness, seize the stronghold of the view. That is me, and if you realize it, there is no separation between me and you. Rangjung Dorje said this to Hor Drak Ngopa Jikme Namdrol. Emaho! Relying on whom, both temporary and ultimate are perfectly fulfilled, you are the supreme refuge for us, the life force of the non-partisan teachings, the kind Guru, I am certain that you will blossom into a perfect Buddha, therefore I prostrate. To unravel the difficult points of the scriptures,

Even though my abilities are weak, I bring forth these brief words of practice through the power of diligence. May the two accumulations increase like a reservoir of water, in the vast ocean, And may this garland of eloquent words adorn it with naturally arising expressions. (810) Alas! This precious human existence with leisure is so difficult to find, Now, born from the cause of pure virtue, If it is carried away by the breeze of trivial distractions, Friend, you will feel like a fruitless tree. This fragile human body, prone to the separation of its essence, If time is wasted on meaningless worldly affairs, Wouldn't it become a completely senseless fool? Friend, you are deceiving yourself! Impermanence and death are certain truths, Their manifestation is clearer than what the eyes can see. Whether enemy, friend, or neutral, whether old or young, there is no certainty, Friend, have you contemplated this manner of death? If even the body of the Victorious One, adorned with auspicious marks, Shows the aspect of fear, our insignificant bodies, Like bubbles, can burst unexpectedly at any moment, Friend, do not cling to permanence! Looking with the eye of wisdom, it has not been heard of anyone born who does not die, Not a single sentient being has been seen who can remain immortal. (811) Although we are certain to die, Friend, there is no fixed time for when we will die. Tomorrow and the day after, there are many things to do, If tonight it is cut short by impermanent death, Then, the provisions that benefit the next life, Friend, have they been fully accumulated? Thus, at the time of death, the accumulated wealth, And the gathered relatives, cannot bring praise. What is the use of accumulating so much? This is an obvious fact, Friend, please observe it well. After death, where one is born is beyond one's control, Carried away by the force of karmic winds, one is not one's own master. If one is born in the lower realms, what can be done? Friend, do you have the confidence not to be born in the lower realms? Even with difficult and diligent effort, the work that cannot be completed, The attachment to this life is easily severed like a rope. When will you make a firm resolution, in this degenerate age of short lifespan (812), If you can accomplish it, you can be called a diligent person, friend. Years, months, and days obscure the appearance of this life, Meaningless activities exhaust the illusory body. What is done leaves no trace, like a drawing on water, If you understand this, you can be called a wise person, friend. Alas! Now, this impermanent demon, The little remaining lifespan caught in its teeth, If it is wasted by distractions and trivialities, It will be too late to regret at the time of death, friend. For this, the profound advice that is beyond thought, Is expressed in words.
