Most practitioners who hold onto meditation tend to spontaneously identify their own innate wisdom as themselves. Because the mind is the root of "I" and "mine." If an experience arises that seems to be completely without mind, it is likely mostly an experience of emptiness. Therefore, do not cling to that emptiness, but let awareness remain in its natural state. In fact, Padampa Sangye said, "When I sleep alone in a secluded place, I keep awareness in a naked state. When I am among many people, (720) I observe whatever arises." This statement is profound because great distraction in conduct leads to forgetfulness, wrong understanding, and dullness. In solitary times, in order to tame the mind, and in order not to lose understanding of shamatha and vipashyana, maintaining awareness in a natural state is a supreme meditation practice of the practice lineage. This is an instruction to Gonste Tulku Rinpoche. Trying to understand view and meditation through searching for the mind and descriptions in scriptures is like patching clothes, requiring constant mending. Therefore, now in a natural state, this relaxed awareness, recognize that this is the view. Do not meditate within it, do not be distracted, maintain the stream of mere awareness, like a river, without distraction. Just as one digs where a river has dried up, (721) the absence of awareness is equivalent to delusion and is an obstacle on the path. Be certain of this, said Dömépa (a person from Dokham), Rongzom Chökyi Zangpo, Rangjung Dorje. Homage to the Lama Gyalwa Rinpoche! If one speaks the name, it is Omniscient Ngakgi Wang. In my heart, there is unwavering faith, inseparable from you, it is truly amazing! Whether there are listeners or not, there are those who earnestly give instructions. If my eyesight is failing and my teeth are old, do not have too much expectation or be stubborn. Going on pilgrimage to sacred sites and visiting scenic spots, although it is the tradition of your Akuk Kham, if you encounter bad environments and bad omens, remaining calm may be more helpful. In autumn and spring, when coolness and warmth are moderate, wearing cotton clothes will feel comfortable. The cold wind on the new hillside (722) may shake your faith in the table. Hiding money in your pocket, taking essence pills, and returning empty-handed from the temple to receive food. Rather than such hard work and diligence, it is better to practice the asceticism of patience. The innkeeper's service is attentive, removing the covers from the cushions and throne,

There is no need to study. Look at the humility of Shakyamuni. From this, generate the mind of enlightenment, For the person with confidence in the generation and completion stages, Serving lies in cutting off the root of one's own mind. After knocking on the door of great power, Temporarily seeking Dharma connections, Although appearing pure on the surface, They associate with two or three people who elevate one side, Accumulating sins by picking and choosing the excellent Dharma. Therefore, concentrate faith on one. Although there are miracles in (723) sacred places and practice sites, But using the caves there, Land, stones, water, trees, Where will there be supreme accomplishments? Adopting a posture of practice, for one's own mind, It is only to obtain a trace of stability. In an auspicious place without obstacles, Wouldn't it be better to be able to settle firmly? In the past, India and Nepal were filled with the Buddha's teachings, Now they are covered by sinful actions and heretics, Thinking of the decline of sentient beings' happiness, Generate renunciation and diligence. Although it is said that the Dharma is flourishing in snowy Tibet, But the lamas imitate local officials, Arrogant due to power and wealth, and far from the Dharma, Performing blessings on the wealth of devotees. The Geshes and practitioners aspire to be like Mongols. This makes the laypeople feel disgusted from the bottom of their hearts, (724) Even offerings are seen as paying taxes. They mutually enjoy the impure fruits of generosity. The practitioners hope to practice in ignorance, Trusting patrons more than the guru. Sleep and alcohol destroy the mind of enlightenment, Where will the qualities of insight arise? This is not a mirror to see the faults of others, But to think that one has the same problems, In order to generate respect for what to take and leave, That's why I speak truthfully. Now listen to me about the essence of the meaning. Constantly meditate on the two minds of enlightenment. Contentment is the other shore of generosity, Its essence is the mind of giving. If you fear the Three Jewels, you have discipline. Not losing mindfulness is the best of patience, As a companion to all, diligence is needed. Seeing appearances as deities is meditation, Self-liberation of clinging is wisdom. In it, there is no thought and no thinker, (725) It is not ordinary, but a busy certainty. Nirvana is peaceful and sacred. This cannot be said to everyone, Keep it secret in your heart. Made by Abhaya Dvaipa. That which is unspeakable and beyond thought, Is the way of being of the nature
