Mind! In the mindfulness of the nature of reality, if one abides in equanimity, then we and, that one are without separation. Composed by Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa before the venerable Ananta, the throne-holder of the glorious Sakya monastery. The immaculate lotus-born hermit Purbu treated me as a brother, a scholar's abode in a great country. A teacher who insatiably craves gain, also a master of rituals for questioning renunciation and bodhicitta. (711) Surpassing the ocean of epistemology, reaching the peak of all Sanskrit mountains, who is more capable than me? With the flower of heart and mind intertwined with him, offering it today, may the teachings be one in all three times! Throughout his life, aspiring towards the direction of virtue and purification, a handwritten section. Along with twenty-five silver coins, delivered intact, I received joy as if meeting him in person. Here too, although my senses are failing due to old age, the nature of bodhicitta has not diminished, and the aspiration and engagement for the benefit of others remain steadfast. Specifically, the blessing bestowed is: Whatever is real, good wishes have already been fulfilled, possessing the wisdom to discern the cycle of samsara, opening the eye of wisdom to see the suchness of inner and outer phenomena. The most supreme of the supreme, the essence of individual liberation is renunciation. (712) The root of the path is bodhicitta, the fruit of the essence is the view of emptiness. Having generated unwavering faith and, conviction in these three, even if one remains at home, one is connected to the Dharma and abides in the conduct of bodhi, therefore I rejoice. Regarding the future, continue to train the mind in the great vehicle's teachings as before. Do not grasp emptiness as empty in the essence of emptiness. Also, release the experience of the clear, stark, naked introduction of the beginning. There is nothing to meditate on, and no memory of ever not being there. Soma. Letting it be. Remaining natural. Being free from all mental fabrications is the view of the great spontaneously accomplished nature. This is my promise. The lama's pillow. The guide, Yeshe Lama, has also been offered, and after practicing this, later (713). Please continue to present virtuous words to me as before. There are protectors or, relics of the golden Buddha Shakyamuni, etc. To the scribe of Derge. Homage to bodhicitta! All Buddhas are born from you. The root of the four paths of learning and, the non-learning of

Fruits! The good and bad deeds of this life, the attachment and aversion to holding monasteries, and all the pursuit of gain, respect, and fame are obstacles on the path to enlightenment. One should generate renunciation and weariness. Using tomorrow's tasks and important matters as excuses, wasting the leisure of this life, squandering the value of the leisured and endowed human form, in all activities of going, staying, sitting, and lying down, cherish accumulating virtuous dharmas. The root of Dharma is bodhichitta. Bodhichitta has two aspects: conventional and ultimate. Conventional is the aspiration and application bodhichitta; ultimate is emptiness, free from elaboration. One's own mind, primordially uncorrected, if one does not repeatedly familiarize oneself with it through the stream of mindfulness, and realize its original reality, then meditating on emptiness becomes nihilistic view, and meditating on clarity becomes eternalistic view. Artificially fabricating with the intellect, a Madhyamaka union that is merely self-proclaimed, free from the eight extremes of elaboration, is also found among the followers of the Tirthika Brahma. Therefore, this awareness that stares intently, transcending thought and expression, is best if sustained by a continuous stream of mindfulness. If one does not grasp just that much, then clarity and emptiness are the ground of being, and by guarding that very nature, self-knowing of one's own face, with higher seeing and mindfulness, from the interdependent arising of completing the two accumulations, that childish, proximate samadhi transforms into a state of discriminating the meaning of reality, and gradually attains the stainless Dharma eye. As a means to that, devotion and cultivating compassion are especially excellent; they are the lifeblood of the generation and completion stage path. Clearly visualize all appearances as the forms of deities, transform sounds into mantras, and abide in self-liberating mindfulness. In all post-meditation activities, examine whether your own mindstream is mixed with Dharma or not. When the desire for self-interest is exhausted from the depths of your heart, it is the time to do activities for the benefit of others. Other than that, if one is merely engaging in begging and the enjoyment of killing beings, or performing empowerments, reciting millions of mani mantras, etc., without knowing whether one is doing good or evil, then one should emulate the biographies of past Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and Longchen Rabjam. When self-interest is fulfilled, the benefit of others is naturally accomplished; this is the self-nature of the Great Sage. These words were spoken by Jigme Lingpa, who holds himself to be the reincarnation of Dza Chen. Peaceful and sublime, in the realm of the Dharmakaya, in the wheel of birth, aging, and death, this conduct is the wheel of samsara, therefore, be weary of the place of the truth of suffering.
