When the wisdom that abides in the unceasing manner of the arising of the ground is recognized, then, incidentally, the self-born wisdom of the root abiding nakedly in its own place is also recognized. Since the essence and self-display are non-dual, it is called the () non-dual self-born wisdom, the single bindu free from elaboration. So, what is the perfectly pure proof in this case? The third way of liberation, in which thoughts are liberated without benefit or harm, like a vine in an empty house, is indeed the path of the lord of yoga. For example, even if a thief enters an empty house, the thief has nothing to gain, and the empty house has nothing to lose, just as it is completely beyond the nature of benefit, harm, gain, and loss. Here, the essence of awareness, unobstructed and free from the obscuration of discriminating knowledge, without losing its composure, is the heart-essence of meditation, or the innate awareness. No matter how the thoughts of self-display waver, since it is the pure notion of observation, in the state of naked awareness-emptiness without arising place or ariser, beyond mind, vast and free, the unchanging throne of the king of the dharmakaya is seized. Therefore, an explanation is given that does not make benefit or harm of thoughts. This is an extremely () pure and praiseworthy instruction. No matter what the state or movement, if the one who recognizes it is not awakened in the absence of object and limit, awareness will move from its own clear bed and become accustomed to being lost and scattered on objects, increasing the power of delusion. No matter how highly you boast of realization, the seed of samsara remains continuous. Even now, on the path, for example, when strong thoughts such as suffering and fear arise, it is ridiculous that simply recognizing the thought itself will completely liberate your suffering and fear. Practitioners who join hands with thoughts have no connection with the definitive secret Great Perfection, so what's the use? Now, listen for a moment, and I will explain the key points of a profound instruction that seems to tear the heart apart, and cast away wrong notions far away. The key to the absence of benefit or harm of thoughts is that the practice of luminous Great Perfection () is perfected, Trekchö causes the body to be pulverized, and the mind dissolves into dharmata, thereby approaching original purity and original liberation, and when Tögal exhausts the four visions, the body is pulverized.

When the body becomes clear and radiant, gaining autonomy over rebirth and approaching the attainment of the Great Transference Body, the signs of this path are that the body becomes like a corpse in a charnel ground, speech becomes like that of a mute, and the mind becomes like a mirage of mist. This can be understood solely through these descriptions. The body, like a corpse in a charnel ground, is such that even surrounded by hundreds of executioners, there is no fear or apprehension, and all thoughts and consciousness dissolve into a state of utter non-reliance. The body, like a corpse in a charnel ground, is such that even surrounded by hundreds of executioners, there is no fear or apprehension, and all thoughts and consciousness dissolve into a state of utter non-reliance. However, this is not a state of unconsciousness like entering into cessation. Speech, like that of a mute, is because the sensory perception of awareness diminishes, and one can only repeat the words of others. The mind completely ceases its attachment to objects, thus losing the consciousness of responding, which is truly a spectacle. To speak of someone who vanishes into a rainbow body () leaving a will, if measured by the tantras and instructions of Dzogchen, those of small minds are certainly at fault for having heard too little. In the 'Burning Corpse Tantra,' when describing the extent to which the practice of Tögal has become accustomed, it is also said: 'Because the telling of stories has ended, it is impossible for this person to have the thought of speaking to others, let alone follow after sounds and words?' In the 'Clear Light Vajra Essence,' in the explanation of clarifying the three places, in the 'Treasury of Precious Words and Meanings,' it is also said: 'Speech, like that of a mute, having lost expression and attachment, arises from the letters of the root place entering into the bindu of wind. The inexpressible meaning of Dzogchen enters into the expression of speech, thereby gaining power over the primordial wisdom that transcends the realm of utter elaboration.' If one understands these, it will be clear that other schools, through practicing the generation stage, transform the coarse body into purity, corresponding to the deities of the desire and form realms, thereby entering pure realms and no longer needing to continue practice, which is called rainbow body. And the rainbow body of those who have perfected the four visions of Dzogchen, like Garab Dorje, these two types of rainbow bodies have superior and inferior levels of realization, but it is a mistake to not understand this point. This key point I have understood by relying on the instructions of the Omniscient One. Having recorded it here, may the venerable lamas abiding in the state of vidyadhara be pleased, and exclaim, 'Emaho! Alala!'
