The mandala of the principal and retinue arising from karma, with its surrounding fences, is supremely illuminated, causing the coarse appearances to naturally cease. Because consciousness is contained in everything, the various parts of the body tremble, and every tiny particle of the body is clearly visible, and mountains, rocks, etc., vanish completely. Because the apprehended and the apprehender directly dissolve, like a madman in a frenzy, there is no fear or concern for anything, and all appearances are pure, this is the moment when the immeasurable light manifests. As the "Body Speech Blazing Tantra" says: Who is accustomed to whose light? In the realm of experience seen by oneself, earth, water, fire, wind, the appearances of the four elements naturally vanish, gradually experiencing the five colors, this is the sign of being inseparable from light. Furthermore, in the realm of experience seen, like a madman, without obstruction, one can penetrate mountains and rocks, and likewise, one can also enter the depths of the earth, and one will not sink in water. These are general explanations about the nature of reaching the standard. If we slightly differentiate the internal differences, in the root tantra it says: In the dust of each body, the star holes of empty space light appear, from which light rays emanate, in the shape of iron hooks, subtly and intricately grasping appearances. The coarseness of the body naturally ceases, becoming a transparent and immaculate body of light, in the center is the mark of the letter A, the hair between the eyebrows emits light that measures a fathom, the hair seems to be lifted by the wind. In the fingers of the peaceful body, chains of light intertwine, acting with a silent mind, from the palace of the skull on the head, Herukas manifest. At this time, one's own body reaches the standard. It means that after the body reaches the standard, all appearances clearly manifest as the pure lands of the five Buddhas, from the star holes of light in the heart, connected to the letter A in one's own heart, light shines, thereby obtaining the power of great light. The light from the hair between the eyebrows clearly manifests as a fathom, therefore the bindu of wisdom wind on the crown of the head, like a millstone, appears to be stacked in nine or five layers. Moreover, ultimately, the hair is the crown, the saying of being lifted by the wind indicates that the wisdom wind swirls in the sky, therefore it becomes an invisible dharma, symbolizing the essence of signs and auspicious marks. Because the wisdom wind is grasped in the hand, it intertwines into five lights, and the subtle light channels are also filled with the light of wisdom.

Due to the clarity of sound, the pores and even the smallest particles are perfected as places possessing the essence of the Sambhogakaya of the Buddha-fields, manifesting the peaceful Vajradhatu mandala. In the skull cup, the light of the wrathful mandala emerges from the light channels of the orifices, and everything above and below is clearly manifested as the mandala where the blood-drinking deities play. This is the path of peaceful and wrathful complete enjoyment body appearing, which is called reaching the measure of the body. Similarly, reaching the measure of the mind, the mind of universal thought, the mind, and the consciousnesses all subside, and self-clarity arises in the stainless Dharmadhatu. Thus, one obtains the six kinds of clairvoyance, such as knowing the minds of others, and the eye that sees the limitless realms of other worlds and Buddha-fields that are obstructed by obstacles, that is, the mind of appearance is completely purified, and the mind of emptiness is purified, thereby freely obtaining immeasurable wisdom and the doors of Samadhi, and so on. In short, the grossness of the body is purified, and the channels and energies are naturally purified. Because of this purification, the suddenly gathered aggregates dissipate, and the manifest gross aspect of the body-mind connection disappears. The subtle habitual tendencies are like a shooting star, which is the moment of grasping the two appearances of arising and gathering. As it is said in the *Abhisamayalankara*: "When the body-mind connection is severed, on the body with exhausted outflows, the nature of the mind that clearly arises outward, in the manner of a shooting star flashing, is clearly seen in the space realm." And: "The body is in clear light purity, the energy is like sparks flashing, not staying in one place, the basis of self-clarity, appears in the manner of two appearances." This explains that the body-mind connection is severed, but it is not the reversal of the three realms (). Incidentally, let me mention this. In this snowy land, some inferior schools bound by faith regard the appearance of emptiness and form as a mere illusion. For the four appearances of Dzogchen, they also adopt the manner of heretics gazing at the sun, without any concern for fundamental downfalls such as hating the Dharma. Like groups of jackals and wildcats, they secretly divert consciousness from the appearances of emptiness and form, such as the Kalachakra they favor, causing wisdom to dry up. There are also some who believe that the Buddha has no body and wisdom, this...
