Something like a tangled rope appeared, slender and long. It pierced my heart, and like a ship capsizing, I simultaneously lost consciousness. In the Lotus Light Palace of the Three Kayas, I became enlightened, inseparable from the Great Orgyen. Then, thinking that I had planted in my continuum the seed to be able to guide all sentient beings tormented by such common fears, I released all the thoughts of the three times, without support, and placed a sentinel of mindfulness at each of the places of transmigration. The second mind-training is, starting with the phrase from the "Son's Letter," "All that is done appears as a cause of suffering," to contemplate. First, contemplating based on scriptural authority, as stated in the Sutra of the Hundred Deeds: "The happiness and suffering of sentient beings, the Buddha said, are caused by karma. Karma is also diverse, thus creating diverse beings. Sentient beings wander in various forms, the net of karma is so vast." Therefore, all our happiness and suffering, good and bad, right and wrong, undoubtedly follow karma alone. Contrary to this, the activities of this life, such as subduing enemies, protecting relatives, farming, trading for profit, greed for excessive profit, greed, hatred, anger, caring for others, giving advice, seeking ways to survive and gain fame, etc., whatever we do is unreliable and not worthy of trust. Accumulating wealth through various means only fulfills the desires of enemies and thieves. Eating food and drink hoping for deliciousness only provokes illness (751) and becomes a cause of death. Hoping for help, we establish close relationships with relatives and friends, but they become accomplices of enemies, or even without harming others, we are subjected to groundless slander, ridicule, accusation, and sarcasm, burning the lineage of knowledge, etc. All these phenomena have the nature of suffering and are merely causes of suffering. Not understanding this until now is truly regrettable. Now, thinking carefully, all the actions before yesterday remain only in memory, unable to be followed, like a mother's dream. Today's appearance is also like tonight's dream. All the actions after tomorrow will also be like tomorrow night's dream, nothing is permanent. However, meaningless clinging appearances give rise to attachment, aversion, strife, pleasant and unpleasant sounds, accumu

Alas! Happiness and suffering! Spending time with clinging behavior, we are all a collection of faults. (752) All the appearances of this world are like deceptive illusions, and it is pitiful to regard them as permanent and unchanging. From now on, I am determined not to make any plans for the future, and to regard clinging as a fault. This is what I think from the bottom of my heart. Second, meditating with delusion: Again, one arrives in a distant country from nowhere, a place one does not know. Just as one is at a loss as to where to go, eight young men who do not know each other appear and say: We come from a place called "Kunzhi Dark Continent." From here to the other side, after many years, there is a place called "Jewel Continent," where there are countless kinds of jewels. We are going to get them, sparing no effort. Do you want to do the same? Hearing this, my mind wavered, and I went with them. Sometimes we were blown by fierce winds, sometimes we walked through dangerous places (753) infested with ferocious beasts, and sometimes we braved the dangers of great rivers. With empty cloth wrapped around our waists, we set a limit on our long lives, and walked day and night, utterly exhausted. After who knows how long, our lives were almost exhausted, and when our hair and beards turned white, our wishes were finally fulfilled, and we obtained countless kinds of jewels from Jewel Continent. With immeasurable joy, we returned to our homeland, and in a place called "Four Junctions Plain," only three days away from home, we met seven extremely cruel robbers. They stole the jewels we had worked so hard to find, stripped off the only rough cloth clothes on our bodies, and tied our limbs tightly with ropes. Holding extremely sharp weapons such as knives, guns, swords, and spears, they said roughly: You unlucky devil, if you have a lama, pray to the lama; if you have a yidam, pray to the yidam; if you have dakinis and protectors, summon them. If you have none of these, then meditate on the great sound called "death." You have come to the boundary between this life and the next! Hearing these words, my heart broke. Alas! I spent my whole life, enduring so much hardship, and yet...
