The nature of mind is emptiness, the Dharmakaya. Clear and unmixed, the perfect Sambhogakaya. Various self-arisen Nirmanakaya. Appearance is the father, emptiness is the mother. Indistinguishable appearance and emptiness, the wisdom body. Moving thoughts () conceptual thoughts are immeasurable. Yet all are complete, the glorious wheel. Inconceivable primordial Buddha. Unmoved from its own nature. If the intention does not change, without a nail, even if great glory is achieved, it is still common. The supreme will not be achieved, and one will stray into the Rudra path. Thus it is said. The nail of projection and withdrawal is like cherishing white mustard seeds for the work of melting and refining, a great miracle that allows one to freely accomplish all four activities. As it says in the Tantra: The nail of projection and withdrawal depends on the object. If you know how to transform it, it will change according to your desires. Through the projection and withdrawal of Samadhi, the power and skill of the mind are perfected. Whatever you think, it appears as it is. Through the blessings of mantras and mudras, pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating, any beneficial or harmful action can be accomplished. For example, with a single jewel, depending on the circumstances of offering and worship, each desire is fulfilled separately. If there is no nail of various projections and withdrawals (), then nothing can be accomplished with just one object. If you know how to transform the projection and withdrawal, then even with one thumb or little finger, you can accomplish all actions without hindrance. Everything is a miracle of the mind. As it is said, by understanding the key points of the four nails, one can directly see the deity's body and seize its life. By achieving truth in speech, one seizes the life of speech. By gaining freedom over the nature of reality, one seizes the life of mind. By merging the body, speech, and mind of the Sugata peaceful and wrathful deities with one's own three doors, one obtains the empty life of all samsara and nirvana. The skill of wisdom is perfected, and one freely transforms various activities. Seventh, in two parts: the ten things to be known and the six places of Samaya. The first is: As it is said, illusion, mirage, etc., the ten ways to be known, practice secret mantra. As it is said, in equipoise, visualize the wheel of the deity, and in all post-meditation (), practice through the ten ways of knowing secret mantra, as it is taught. Thus, all methods of practice should be known as illusion. All names and words should be known as meaningless, like a deer chasing a mirage. All conduct should be known as a dream. All

All things should be known as being without inherent existence, like reflections in a mirror. All places should be known as being like cities of gandharvas. All sounds should be known as being empty in nature, like echoes in a valley. All deity forms should be known as appearing like the moon in water, but not established in their own nature. All samadhis should be known as being like bubbles erupting from water. All distractions should be known as changing in various ways, like cataracts in the eye. All miracles should be known as being like illusions, with various forms but without characteristics; these are the ten knowables. Secondly, not cutting off devotion to the guru who shows the instructions, accomplishing the conducive conditions for samadhi, abandoning unfavorable conditions, not letting samadhi fade in all conduct, not abandoning the yidam, and keeping the meaning of practice and conduct secret from those who are not vessels; these are the six. Secondly, within the framework of the four branches of approach and accomplishment, the uncommon path of uniting the ranks of the four vidyadharas is explained as having four parts. The first is: Having spoken thus, in the branch of approach, one should fix the mind on the clear appearance of the three places, such as the subtle samadhi and the one mudra, and by meditating in this way, the qualities of the paths of accumulation and joining will become manifest. Thus, from the arising of dependent origination, such as mindfulness, the signs of the five winds of knowable experience gradually entering the central channel are like smoke, mirages, fireflies, and cloudless sky. These should be known as signs of the increase of the appearance of experience. Similarly, in dreams, constantly being naked is a sign of the purification of habitual patterns, climbing a ladder in the sky is a sign of attaining the ground, riding a lion and an elephant is a sign of subjugation, and the image smiling is a sign of receiving prophecy. In short, as stated in the Vajramala, an inconceivable sequence of path signs will occur, and if excessive joy arises, the demons will look for an opportunity, so one should not expect good things. Similarly, when meditating on external heat, one will see particles, letters, hand signs, subtle bodies, etc., and the colors and sources of fire, water, wind, etc. The inner
