Possessing the excellent name, may I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. With the forms of Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and goddesses, may all attain sharp faculties and forbearance. Not falling into the realm of going and returning in the sky, not being separated from seeing the Buddha and hearing the Dharma, may I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. In meditation and supernormal knowledge, may the wise discern with skillful wisdom. Without bonds or possessions, the senses unmoving and still, all-knowing, with limitless and boundless qualities, may I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. By the truth of the path that abandons the causes and effects of arising, even the Arhat who has realized cessation, exhaling in the realm of the three liberations, and engaging in the empowerment of great light, may I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. Even the categories of Dharma taught in each instant, are countless, with great miraculous power, wandering through other realms, obtaining from the Dharma, opening the doors of hundreds of thousands of kotis of samadhi, may I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. In short, merely remembering the name, sound, and contemplation of that being, one can be reborn in the realm of Sukhavati. Because the intention and vow are true and unwavering. Your deeds for the benefit of others, like the tides of the ocean, never cease. From the mouth of the Sugarcane, Ananda, you should point towards the west, scatter flowers, join your palms, and prostrate to the complete and perfect Buddha, Immeasurable Light, free from dust, utterly pure. That name is without obscuration, proclaimed in the ten directions, and even the Buddhas praise it. We also offer our bodies and possessions without attachment. We confess the sins and obscurations we have committed and accumulated, and rejoice in the merit of one part made into an ocean. We request you to always remain with the Dharma wheel. May all the merit that exists, for all beings, become the cause of being born in Sukhavati, and may the wishes be fulfilled as desired, may there be auspiciousness! This aspiration, which is in accordance with the Infinite Light Sutra, was requested long ago by the excellent student Jigme Trinley Ozer (Fearless Activity Light) from Dokham (Kham region), and recently, at the request of the two who strive to clarify it, Jigme Losal (Fearless Clear Mind), was composed by the deity of Khyentse, the sprout of the Victorious Ones. Auspiciousness!

Sa. (577) Ke. From the Longchen Nyingtik, the ritual for going to Sukhavati, immeasurably swift and inclusive, the guidance for the deceased associated with the purification ritual. Secondly, the method of guiding the deceased in connection with the purification ritual is: In the purification vase, visualize the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha holding a sword and bell. Recite "Tram A Ga La Sarva Durgate Sarva Papam Shintam Kuru Svaha." Finally, invite the wisdom being to descend. Offer the water from the conch shell with Om Ah Hum as an offering. The Samaya being dissolves into light. Whether for one's own benefit or that of others, this is a path primarily for accumulating merit and purifying the pure lands, so at the interval of every hundred recitations, add the Seven Branch Prayer and the Samantabhadra Prayer to increase the count, which is similar for the benefit of both the living and the dead. When guiding the deceased, first, (578) inviting the support, from emptiness, on a lotus and moon seat, Nir (Tibetan: ནིྲ) completely transforms, becoming the body and senses of the deceased, as they were in the state of being alive. Homage to the truth of the venerable root and lineage gurus, the truth of the Three Jewels, and the truth of the purity of the nature of reality itself. The truth of cause and effect being unfailing, and especially, the truth of the Bhagavan, the protector Amitabha and his retinue, relying on the blessings of his inconceivable aspiration and prayers, may the consciousness of the deceased so-and-so, wherever it may be in the six realms of samsara, wherever it may be in the bardo state, come to this support. Recite three times. Second, offering the torma to the obstructing forces: Om Sarva Vighnan Namah, Sarva Tathagata Bhyo Vishva Mukhe Bhyah, Sarva Tatakham Unggate Sbarana Hima Gagana Kham. In order to (579) purify the sins of the deceased, obstructing forces who hinder, with this torma I propitiate you, please depart! Recite three times, circumambulating with tinglo and changbu. Om Sumbhani Sumbha Hum, Grihna Grihna Hum, Grihna Paya Grihna Paya Anaya Ho, Bhagavan Vidyaraja Hum Phet. With tinglo give light, with changbu give food, and then depart! Third, setting the boundary: Show the fire mudra. Om Vajra Jwala Anala Hana Daha Pachamatha Bhanja Ratna Hum Phet. Fourth, purifying sins.
