The natural crystal called "Mirror," along with the statues of Orgyen (Uddiyana) father and mother, is covered with a red silk tent. In front, place the iron kila of the wrathful subjugation. At the fire boundary, place the cleansing vase. At the empowered place, place the action vase. Outside, place the kila of the ten wrathful ones. That is, placing the east of the upper east and the west of the lower west is to protect the mandala from harm. Otherwise, for the empowerment substances, even if the kila are not specifically designated, it is acceptable. However, during grand sadhana offerings and medicine sadhana, it is necessary to place specifically designated sadhana items. (372) The method of placement is to arrange these empowerment substances on top of a three-tiered platform. Here, only empowerment is mainly discussed, so the others can be understood from the supplementary notes. Around such a mandala: In the east, offering water. In the southeast, foot washing water. In the south, flowers. In the southwest, incense. In the west, lamps. In the northwest, perfume water. In the north, food. In the northeast, boundary-holding flowers. In the east, arrange abundant offering tormas, surrounded by medicinal alcohol, and arrange various tsok offerings as appropriate. Place four knives in the four directions of the mandala, and four victory banners in the four corners. Place eight arrows decorated with silk and mirrors in each direction, and weave an eight-spoked pattern with colored threads. Above, raise a peacock umbrella and banners, and wrap it with tiger skin or silk. Outside, surround it with curtains made of silk and other materials. In short, decorate the mandala beautifully and solemnly, and offer it with three offerings, also sprinkle action water, fumigate with gugul incense, scatter mustard seeds, and recite the mantra of Sumbhani (Tibetan: སུམ་བྷ་ནི།) to dispel obstacles. Finally, perform a brief offering blessing and descent blessing. At this time, also integrate the wisdom deity of the preparation stage into the mandala. Here, because it is a newly completed colored powder mandala, it has the characteristic of not having obstacles arise, which should be understood. In addition, in front of the mandala, place the eye (Tibetan: མིག་), short vajra, tooth stick, crown, rosary, lingam, staff, conch shell, cushion, sadhana ritual books, etc., which are closely related to the actual operation of the empowerment, in order.

The site should be cleaned, and regardless of that, it is important to manifestly offer Gugul, incense, scattering, and smoke offering substances for bestowing blessings, etc. (373) Secondly, the actual activities are threefold: the creation of the mandala, self-entry, and bestowing empowerment on others. Firstly, from the emptiness and clarity of the vessel and its contents, the meaning of self-front empowerment should be grasped and straightened out as it is clear. Moreover, the meaning of meditation is: unlike other mandalas, it is not generated by the mind's involvement, with a single ritual of self-front; nor is it generated gradually with complete rituals and parts for each mandala, as in the New Tantras. Rather, in this tradition, the profound self-generation is clear like Anu Yoga within the body mandala, and the vast front generation is clear like the generation of Maha Yoga in the outer mandala. In the cause and time of the meaning of the latter, from the five outer mandalas, the empowerment deity in the sphere of reality, and the generation ritual of the vase, are also generated as one image appearing in different mirrors, inseparably in the interdependent appearance of the spontaneously accomplished compassion's own power from the primordially pure, self-arisen sphere of reality. In other texts, there is the practice of immediately inviting the empowerment deity after the ritual close to empowerment. If someone asks, then do you not perform the activity of empowerment with mandalas created with colored powders, etc.? Actually, the activity is not performed directly, but empowerment is given through the means of focusing intention, therefore the explanation is established that empowerment is received from that mandala. In reality, the empowerment deity of the sphere of reality and the Vajra Master are inseparable, therefore the activity of empowerment is performed. Why is that? Because it says: Offer the flower of intelligence to the sky. And, before the mandala is dissolved, " ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: जः हुं वं होः, Romanized Sanskrit: jaḥ hūṃ vaṃ hoḥ, Literal meaning: Dza Hum Vam Hoh) All the empowerment deities, dissolve into the form of the three syllables," therefore it is possible to understand very clearly. Moreover, for the mandala that is the basis of generation, there are four distinctions combined with the conduct of the Vajra Master's intention: The master, a fully enlightened Buddha, for the great Bodhisattvas who are progressing through the ten grounds and approaching the limit, bestows the empowerment of the fruition time as the nature of great light, the mandala of great pure wisdom (374); the master, having entered the path of the end, for the Bodhisattvas who are abiding on the grounds of seeing and meditation, the mandala of Samadhi is equal to the sky.
