The excavated soil is surrounded by soil blocks and moistened with the five essences. Water is poured into it, and lamps are placed. While reciting the Vajrasattva mantra, walk fifty steps, or walk seven steps to the east and return, observing whether it has decreased from before (348). If it has not decreased and the flower turns to the right, it is good. If it decreases or the flower turns to the left, there is an error inside. If, after observing in this way, it is seen as an inauspicious omen, move it to another place, or perform a pacifying and increasing fire puja. As stated in the Heruka Sadhanas: 'The faults of the land should be removed. If bad things or obstacles occur, they should be abandoned or a fire puja should be performed.' If it is recognized as auspicious and virtuous, placing a vase treasure with characteristics will bring auspiciousness. As stated in the Wrathful Lightning: 'Because this place possesses a treasure of merit, the five precious substances, five medicines, five incenses, five grains, and five essences are placed inside a gau box to fill the land with treasures.' Therefore, the order of examining the foundation is the work to be done when laying the foundation for temples and meditation rooms, etc. Therefore, here, what has been done before is taken as the basis, and although it is not actually applied, it is described as a chapter. In addition, when preparing the land below, the types of preparing the land with work and actions will also be explained. Second, regarding obtaining land, there are two types. First, obtaining from a tangible being: If the land is occupied by a tangible being, satisfy them with words, reward them with wealth, and obtain it without dispute. Second, obtaining from an intangible being: Offer the local deity and the goddess of the land separately with mandalas smeared with fragrant water, along with golden drinks and tormas. With the state of deity yoga, bless with the syllable A. Recite the mantra of the Akashagarbha and offer: HUM, please heed, O land deities, nagas, armies, and the mountains, cliffs, meadows, gardens, lakes, ponds, wells, and all your respective abodes. Please, deities and nagas, invite me to this place. In order to obtain the land that accomplishes the four continents, please, land deities and your retinue, descend here, partake of this blessed torma, and grant me treasures of jewels. In the past, the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment, subdued the four Maras, turned the wheel of Dharma, and resided on the vast precious ground.

Because it has already begun, in order to be in accordance with this, we practitioners, in order to perfect the two great accumulations, want to establish here the palace of the peaceful and wrathful deities of the victorious ones, the great glorious ones who do not reside here, the assembly of deities of the Eight Commands of Kagyé and the vidyadharas, therefore, all the earth lords, nagas, and earth goddesses, take this great offering, and please move to another place from the beginning to the end of my practice, so that the land is stable and auspicious! After praying like this, be pleased and willing to give. Bhūmi pati sa pari vāra gaccha. (Tibetan) With this, ask them to leave. Pour out the tormas and golden drinks, etc., and collect the traces of the work so that they are not visible. Third, purification, from the Bliss Assembly: Separate the five fingers of the right hand and visualize them as a five-pronged vajra, recite the mantra of the purity of dharmata, and strike the ground seven times. Thus, visualize the five fingers of the right hand as a five-pronged vajra, strike the ground, and recite the svabhāva (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, svabhāva, self-nature) mantra, accompanied by the view of emptiness, luminosity, and pervasiveness. Hūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, hūṃ, seed syllable) From the heart of oneself as the deity, visualize the letter Bhrūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, bhrūṃ, seed syllable) emitting a purplish-black light, the light radiating in ten directions, visualize the guru, vidyadhara, and deity assembly, the wrathful ones making offerings as helpers, the wrathful mothers becoming offering consorts. Touching all sentient beings, purify sins and obscurations. The light returns, becoming a vast mansion made of various jewels on the ground. Bhrūṃ bhrūṃ bhrūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, bhrūṃ bhrūṃ bhrūṃ, seed syllable) Reciting this mantra, purify with mantra, mudra, and samadhi. Fourth, seizing or making it one's own power: Visualize oneself as the great supreme Heruka, one face and two arms, the two eyes as the sun and moon, the pupils as Hūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, hūṃ, seed syllable), from which flames of wisdom blaze, gazing with angry eyes, visualizing destroying all demons and evil guides with this. Waving the vajra and ringing the bell, visualizing the feet covered with various vajras, rotating in the posture of a three-pronged vajra, Hūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, hūṃ, seed syllable) Oneself as the Karma Heruka, contemplate with majesty and wrath, the eyes transforming into the sun and moon, rotating with vajra steps, gazing with wrathful eyes, standing proudly with a majestic posture, from the mouth emitting the sound of thunder of Hūṃ Phaṭ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, hūṃ phaṭ, seed syllable), from the eyes radiating
