Alas! Reborn in a place of great mental turmoil, always arguing incessantly, fighting and great suffering, or becoming without memory, or memory becoming rigid, afflicted by mad epilepsy, and finally reborn in a place of wailing. Thus it is said. If well guarded, the benefits are immeasurable, as the Guhyagarbha Tantra says: Those who hold the supreme lineage of the Victorious Ones are honored by the lord of the world and his retinue, and the saints and holy ones care for and bless them as sons and brothers, enter the realm of the Sugatas, and unite with the immutable Samantabhadra. Thus it is said. Therefore, the path of Vajrayana is of great consequence, the primordial protector said: Those who practice my Dharma, practicing properly will attain Buddhahood, practicing improperly will fall into hell, it is impossible to be reborn as ordinary beings, therefore it is of great consequence. Thus it is said. Second, establishing the manner of entering the path of liberation, that is, all the generation stage and completion stage practices taught in all the common paths cannot transcend the nature of mind, therefore they should be abandoned here. As the Rangshar Tantra says: The yogi of symbolic words, clinging to words and using words, not understanding and relying on words, I have not said this is liberation. The yogi who relies on signs, himself relying on signs, flattering others with actions, bound by his own discrimination, I have not said this is liberation either. The yogi who perishes afterwards, abides on the ground of faith, performs the actions of faith, perishes on the initial ground due to hope, I have not said this is liberation either. The yogi who ascertains self-nature, practices the establishment of words without discrimination, possessing the nature of non-discrimination, I have not said this is liberation either. The yogi of appearance as mind, everything arises from my mind, if one realizes the nature of mind, what else is there to do? Proclaiming this everywhere, I have not said this is liberation. The yogi who enters into action, desires to accomplish the action of meaning itself, those bound by great actions, first generate the mind and perform actions, from then on, all actions are done and accomplished, I have not said this is liberation either. The yogi of action as cause, initiating the cause itself as the path,

Hoping for the result and observing the cause, the cause itself manifests, I have not said that is liberation. The yogi who acts as a condition, seeks the true demon through action, holding onto different kinds of aspects, I have not said that is liberation. The yogi who ultimately accomplishes the fruit, carries realization onto the path, not dwelling on the ground and the path, seeing one's own nature, considers it true great liberation. The yogi of the true demon, even having found his own realization, when the bardo appearances are purified, seeing his own truth, from then on considers it ultimate liberation. The yogi of ultimate liberation, on the ground of having found certainty, finding and seeing his own nature, considers it truly abiding on the ground. The yogi who completes the action, is the primordial pure Great Buddha, it is said that one cannot depart from it. Likewise, the great yogi, it is said that one cannot practice on the ground, it is said that one cannot walk on the path. Thus, the first eight do not liberate with action and effort, the latter four abandon the effort and fabrication on the path, considering liberation in the great yoga of primordial abiding and self-liberation. Some say, if one cannot purify the defilements of the realm with acceptance and rejection, then how can one liberate with such a path? The nature of wisdom is originally free from acceptance and rejection, is it primordial liberation? Immediate liberation, self-liberation, abiding liberation, the dharmata of complete liberation does not transcend, therefore, being covered by sudden defilements, it is eliminated by the guru's oral instructions, merely pointing out the dharmata as it is, merely becoming accustomed to it, other than that, other modifications and adulterations will not liberate, but will be mistaken and lost, like getting off a horse and riding a donkey. If any small-minded person is afraid of the meaning of the unsurpassed secret profoundness, then the great accomplished master Saraha also said: The eradicated nature of mind is like the sky, because it cannot be meditated on, do not keep it in mind, do not defile the original ordinary awareness with artificial objects, the naturally pure mind does not need artificiality, do not grasp or abandon, let it sleep naturally. If one is not realized, there is nothing to meditate on in the mind, for the realized one, there is no meditator and meditation, just as the sky does not take the sky as an object, likewise emptiness cannot meditate on emptiness.
