As it is said, "Awareness abides without cessation," the reality of the primordial ground is without limits or partiality. It is not composed of things or colors, and its essence, which is neither form nor shape, is the empty Dharmakaya. The self-radiance of primordial sound is unceasing. The self-luminous Sambhogakaya abides as the blueprint for all appearances, yet its own essence transcends the marks of outward clarity. The all-pervasive compassion of the Nirmanakaya is free from terms and conceptions, abiding in the nature of neither samsara nor nirvana. As it is said in the Sutras: "The realm of beginningless time is the abode of all dharmas. Because of this, all beings attain the peace of nirvana." Thus, if it is said that it is the basis of both liberation and delusion, and not the realm that has abandoned all defilements, then it is not. From the perspective of awakening, the terms realm, essence, and non-delusion are distinguished. As it is said in the earlier tantras: "It is not samsara, it is not nirvana, it is the basis, it is not appearance, it is not darkness, it is the path, there is no going, there is no not going, it is not the result, it is not abandonment, it is not attainment, it is called the great realm of wisdom." Thus it is said. If distinguished, there is a classification that widely distinguishes between the empty part of both essence and nature, and the reversal of the appearance part, this is just that. The way sentient beings are deluded in sleep is that, from the unchanging essence of that ground, the unceasing potential of nature arises as the appearance of the spontaneously accomplished great ground appearance, and Kuntu Zangpo (Samantabhadra) recognizes it as self-appearance, in an instant uprooting the seeds of unpredicted ignorance. Because it is the primordial ground, it is called the great place of primordial liberation, characterized by the six qualities of the perfection of the realm's qualities, liberating in the ultimate spontaneously accomplished ground that has abandoned all defilements. As it is said in the Illusion Sutra: "In an instant, distinguish, in an instant, attain perfect Buddhahood." Thus it is said. Ordinary people have not arisen with the recognition of this place of liberation, thinking that it is only the primordial ground. If so, then the defiled place of the ground has not been abandoned, and again it has not transcended the reversal after liberation. Therefore, the pith instructions of the primordial protector Longchenpa, even this one alone is inconceivable. That is also because self-arisen wisdom has defilements and
