When meditation wavers, the wind-mind becomes self-possessed, like encountering a wealthy person's treasury. When meditation is attained, the mind enters the path, like an elephant being placed in a trap. When meditation is stable, the skill of awareness is perfected, like a royal lineage receiving empowerment from the crown of the head. When conduct wavers, the entrustment of knowledge is lost, like a madman erupting in frenzy. When conduct is attained, illusory appearances are subdued, like a lion roaming the mountains. When conduct is stable, the warmth of the three kayas is grasped, like a Brahmin woman attaining realization. Therefore, by conduct, the obstacles of appearance are cleared, and the conditions of appearance are liberated into dharmata. By meditation, the obstacles of movement are cleared, and thoughts and concepts are liberated into samadhi. By view, the obstacles of dharmata are cleared, and although relying on the path of dharma, there is no other place to go except to attain Buddhahood. Second, clearing the obstacles of how things exist: Because the dharmata of essence is unchangeable, whatever appears is liberated as mind. Because nature has no cause and effect, the three realms are purified as insubstantial. Because characteristics do not require habituation, knowledge does not rely on anything else. Third, the essence of concealment and manifestation has nothing to attain, so one does not initially cling to any hope. Because nature is pure and impartial, there is no danger of doubt. Because characteristics cannot be found even when examined, it is said that the root of samsara and nirvana is rotten. In terms of divisions: one, concealing one and manifesting two; and two, concealing two and manifesting one. The former: if view and conduct are manifested and meditation is concealed, then its essence, union, has no beginning or end, so the beginning and end of samsara and nirvana are severed. Because nature is non-dual, bindu has no inside or outside. Because characteristics are free from dependence and fixation, it is causeless and completely transparent. If view and meditation are manifested from conduct, then it is asserted that emptiness is purified by emptiness. If view is concealed and conduct and meditation are manifested, then non-grasping awareness dawns in all directions, and where is the objectless wisdom liberated? The latter: if meditation is manifested and view and conduct are concealed, then unattached awareness is manifested without dependence, so it is said that the causeless result abides in itself. If conduct is manifested and deity meditation is concealed, then it is said that the body is abandoned on a cliff, and the mind is thrown into dharmata. View is clear, and meditation and conduct are concealed.

Therefore, placing the mind in emptiness is called the body and speech reaching the key point. Fourth, explaining the nature of self-luminosity, which transcends the scope of sound and words themselves, does not cling to any established extreme views, and is a special accomplishment; the nature is pure in non-objectivity, it is the original pure Dharma nature, which manifests infinitely and naturally; the characteristic is non-intellectual, and it is free from the agitation and proliferation of conventionality. There are three types of classification: those who speak of tracing the path of delusion, those who speak of reversing the four delusions, and those who speak of the bindu residing in its own essential point. The first is: the nature is that the seed of delusion and ignorance has laid the foundation for all of samsara, therefore, tracing it back to itself, ignorance can be cut off from the root, reaching the foundation of the first wisdom, and from then on there will be no turning back. The nature appears as different, therefore, from the tracing of causes and conditions, the attachment to the object is cut off, thereby cutting off the dependence on delusion in samsara. This is called the exhaustion of the foundation, the great original purity. The characteristic is the recognition of delusion, thus obtaining the temperature of the wisdom of non-delusion. That is to say, placing delusion in its own position, one can recognize the Dharma nature of non-delusion, and its nature has never experienced delusion, so there is no name for ignorance. Now, because delusion is known, the source of evil deeds is lost. In the future, it is impossible to be deluded again, so there is no name for good or bad deeds. The nature is the non-duality of samsara and nirvana, and the foundation of wisdom is the same, so delusion is purified in place. The characteristic is that there is no cause for delusion, so the calculation of delusion and non-delusion is cut off, so the three realms are empty, the foundation of light delusion is wrapped, and the nature of the continuity of the wheel of delusion is cut off: the foundation of falling into samsara is empty, so the foundation that cannot be obtained through action is decorated, and the nature transcends calculation, so there is no establishment in any aspect of delusion and liberation. The characteristic is that there is no dualistic establishment, so it is free from the thoughts of delusion and non-delusion. The bindu residing in its own essential point is: the nature is free from proliferation, so there is no one and many. The nature has no many, so it transcends names and words. The characteristic is that it is recognized, so it is undoubtedly believed. There are two types of classification: oral transmission and explanatory transmission. The nature of oral transmission is uninterrupted from one to another, so it is very close. The nature is connected to the ear consciousness, so it is not interrupted by others. The characteristic is that there is no error, so it has the confidence of certainty. The classification includes literal and non-literal.
