The division of the Unfabricated Expanse has been explained. The third meaning, most excellent among all those, is the Great Perfection Instruction Division, which has three aspects: how it is superior to the lower two, its essence, and its divisions. First, the Mind Division is mind, and some hold to the conceptual mind of the mind aspect. The Expanse Division holds to the nature of reality, thus falling into conceptual thought, so the Mind and Expanse Divisions have many places where they err due to the obscuration of knowledge. The Instruction Division makes the natural state self-luminous, so it is most excellent due to the key point of being without error. As it says in the Great Array: "If it is not determined in that way, what difference is there between those who hold to conceptual thought? Therefore, this definitive secret essence is like a lamp in the darkness, like a great elephant among cows, like a lion among wild beasts, like a horseman among pedestrians, it is most excellent among all." Second, the essence is: not remaining entirely in conceptual thought as if thinking it is, but like finding fire, hitting the key point. The divisions are three: scattered words, spoken words, and what is spoken in the tantras themselves. The essence of the first is: great wisdom that is free from mind, arising in an instant by relying on the key point of being free from effort. The divisions are two: establishing, which is the many states of cutting off the extremes of the path; and liberation, which is the instruction of the path of pure power becoming manifest. The first is: because emptiness is all-pervasive, it is free from depending on the path of liberation in all things. Since the basis of elaboration, even the mere word of the basis of elaboration, is not established, it is impossible to have elaborating names and words, and the nature of reality, which is beyond expression, has no letters. When the excellence of the path thus arises as the self-nature free from elaboration, it is believed that by the reason of causeless action, samsara is overturned from its depths and nirvana is liberated in its own place. The second is: from the aspect of the nature of reality abiding, the mind is free from change, and this is the basis. When the three kayas arise as the appearance of the path, there is nothing that is not liberated. It is believed that when the result arrives at its intrinsic nature, it meets with the Mother of Reality. The essence of what is spoken in the manner of spoken words is: free from mind, unconfused, the self-nature of conceptual thought loses its source, and the characteristic is non-duality, free from grasping at things. The divisions are two: the spoken words that a fool forgets in distraction are: by the key point of the channels, the wind; by the key point of the wind, the mind is pacified into the nature of reality, so wisdom understands the meaning from its source. The key point of severing the connection of the three doors is

The instruction of thoughts dissolving in their own place is the instruction of ceasing to discuss buddhas and sentient beings. The words that do not fall into verbal traps are: From the face of the vast expanse of the dharmadhatu, there is nothing that is not contained, so it is possible to measure the pervasiveness of samsara and nirvana; since the emptiness of dharmata is without grasping, the essence of transformation is the root; since there is no activity in the dharmadhatu, it is possible to recognize the self-abiding jnana. Third, the essence of the instructions spoken in the tantras themselves is the source of all teachings, especially adorned by dharmata. Since there is no samsara and nirvana in self-nature, it is possible to measure the relativity of acceptance and rejection; since dharmata is not established in words and letters, emptiness is free from the basis of debate. If divided, there are four types. First, the essence of the view of condensing the intention is that non-elaboration pervades the ground. Therefore, there is no good or bad in karma, and the three realms appear as completely liberated. Since self-nature appears as empty and clear, goodness does not add benefit, and evil does not bring harm, there are no buddhas and sentient beings. Since there is no elaboration of names, words, and letters in the characteristics, one does not attain buddhahood through the teachings of various vehicles, which is the key to the simultaneous liberation of the senses. If divided, there are two types: the desire to regard appearances as views without action, and the mind that arises from all sides as views. The essence of the first is that there is no dharma in it, so even the name of buddha is not established. Since self-nature appears as power, samsara appears as different. Since the characteristics are not fixed as one, it is possible to measure view and meditation. The essence of the view condensed in the mind is that it is pure in unbornness, so afflictions dissipate without a basis. Since self-nature appears without interruption, it is free from acceptance and rejection. Since the characteristics appear as primordially liberated, the source of samsara and nirvana collapses. Second, the essence of dispelling the obstacles of speech is that it shows the nature of dharmata, so it can distinguish the boundaries of samsara and nirvana. Since the basis of self-nature without error is stable, there is no group of foolish ones. Since there are no objects in the characteristics, confusion is eliminated in itself. There are two divisions to this. First, dispelling the obstacles of the warmth of view and meditation is: the warmth of view, samsara and nirvana are mixed together like glue, so there is no bias towards the abiding reality. Also, when the view is shaken, recognizing the faults of samsara is like recognizing a thief. When the view is obtained, the body and speech obtain warmth, like pouring oil on a burning fire. When the view is stable, distinguishing the difference between samsara and nirvana is like an army defeating an enemy.
