The place from which everything comes has not been found. It abides in self-illumination and self-establishment, therefore there is no nature of abiding here. The essence has no change, therefore the source of going is lost. All are completely mingled and undifferentiated in the expanse of dharmata, and the experience is clear as various displays appear. All the transformations of the container and its contents do not move from the expanse of the sky, and entering into the wisdom that is non-dual in terms of not obtaining and knowing with hope and fear is primordially pure. Fourth, in the state where displays arise unceasingly by being free from the side of "is," all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, appearance and mind, do not move. For that which has the nature of being without change, by being free from the side of "is not," since there is no establishing of affirmation or biased clinging, one should know the great expanse free from extremes to be like the sky. Thus, if the classes of mind are divided, it is said that they are limitless, and what was previously arranged is just a part. If condensed, they gather into nine aspects: The view is the expanse without change. Meditation is the expanse without "is" and "is not." The result is the expanse without hope and fear. The essence is the expanse without establishment and clarity. The nature is the expanse without cessation. The characteristic is the expanse of the liberation of appearance and mind. The dimension is the expanse without movement. The play is the expanse of unceasing, self-arising. The expanse of spontaneous coemergence, primordially liberated, and resting as it is. If these are also condensed, they gather into three: The expanse of spontaneous accomplishment, vast and great. The expanse of self-illumination, without effort. The expanse of the unmade, primordially accomplished, these are the three. In general, the expressions that extensively show the nature of these are deceived by the name of three thousand words. The tiered chambers, or those who are certain of eleven thousand chapters and sixty-four hundred thousand shlokas, gather into eighty thousand verses, and that is also condensed into twenty thousand distinctions, those are condensed into nine hundred, and two thousand key points, together with fifty nails. All of these gather into the three aspects of having done liberation, having placed liberation, and having gazed liberation, so the omniscient great one asserts. Moreover, not only is this philosophical system extremely difficult to differentiate, but apart from the mere establishment of names for the definitive philosophical systems of the Mind Section, Space Section, and Instruction Section, I have not seen anyone who can henceforth raise a philosophical system of the nature as it is, therefore I speak while preserving the intention of the primordial protector Longchenpa.
