Great Perfection is the Bodhicitta that has transcended effort and striving. The Great Perfection that has transcended effort and striving is obscured by Maha. To engage in effort and striving in Dzogchen is said to fall into Mahayoga. Anuyoga desires the indivisible ground, and after entering through the door of space and wisdom, for all phenomena that appear in this way, the cause is to view the pure space, and the result is the deity of the wisdom mandala. The great bliss of Atiyoga is the Bodhicitta that has transcended cause and effect. That which has transcended cause and effect is obscured by Anu. If one views both cause and effect in Dzogchen, it is said to fall into Anuyoga. Thus it is. Then, one might ask, why were those lower vehicles taught? It is taught for the sake of those of middling faculties and below, because impure samsara and the path, etc., are generated by the power of cause and effect, and therefore the classifications of the path that rely on cause and effect are emphasized. Since there is no dharma of cause and effect in the meaning of the purity of the essence of space, this kind of original abiding meaning is taught to those of sharp faculties. It is also taught that there is no need to correct or change it. From that very text: There is no view to meditate on, no samaya to protect. There is no ground to purify, no path to traverse. There is no activity to seek, no empowerment to confer. There is no effort in the three doors, no mandala to create. Cause and effect are both absent, like the sky. And: The mind of enlightenment is primordially uncorrupted. It is primordially so, and primordially without corruption. Without corruption, there is no imposition of truth or falsehood. Cause, condition, and result are beyond all effort and striving. If, not understanding that effort and striving are already past, one thinks that effort and striving, doing and acting, are accomplished through meditation, there is no greater obstacle to enlightenment than that. Thus it is said. If that is the case, since the impurities of the elements cannot be purified by the profound dharma of acceptance and rejection, does Buddhahood come about simply by remaining like an ordinary person? An ordinary person cannot take direct appearances as the path, and because of not understanding that the way of abiding is like that, it becomes the basis for karma and habitual tendencies, and although the nature of clear light is present in the state of reality itself, like a treasure in the house of a poor person, because it is not understood, the nature of poverty remains unchanged. Relying on the oral instructions of the Great Perfection lama, all the clinging of the present awareness is cut off at once, and the great qualities of the Buddha are completely and spontaneously present.

Because the truth of the three Kayas' inherent nature is seen, there is no need to seek the Buddha separately. These two types of abandonment and realization are not the same. As it is said in the "All-Good Six Spaces": The stainless self-mind and, the non-conceptual self-awareness, are similar, similar, how wonderful! The unobstructed, clear appearance and, the sentient beings' mindstream clinging, are similar, similar, how wonderful! The meditation of resting without searching and, the relaxation of channels, winds, and mind, are similar, similar, how wonderful! The unconscious awareness and the appearance of objects, and the delusion of memory and thought in the six realms, are similar, similar, how wonderful! Because it is said so. Therefore, the Dharmakaya Bodhicitta, the unchanging nature of mind, is the pinnacle of the vehicle, the meaning of the Great Perfection of self-nature, the reality of the three Kayas spontaneously accomplished, as it is said in the "All-Creating King": Emaho! Great Bodhisattva, listen! The Dharmakaya is the Bodhicitta, from the Bodhicitta comes the Dharmakaya. Not even an atom is altered by anyone, therefore the Buddha is not outside the mind. The Sambhogakaya is the Bodhicitta, from the Bodhicitta comes the Sambhogakaya. In the forms that arise from the mind, there is no other Kaya than the Sambhogakaya. The Nirmanakaya is the Bodhicitta, from the emanation of the Bodhicitta, there is no other that benefits beings. All the Buddhas of the three times, are not other than the Bodhicitta. The Buddhas of the past, previously saw and realized the unaltered self-mind. The Buddhas who are now abiding, because they have realized the unaltered self-mind, are now also benefiting beings. The Buddhas who will come in the future, this self-mind, the nature of Bodhicitta, was not previously prophesied to be altered, now the Samadhi mind does not alter, entering the unaltered path, they will come. It is said: The mind is the object of suchness, all phenomena are established as such. Do not alter suchness, do not fabricate anything other than the essence. If you search, the Victorious One will not be found in the Dharmadhatu. Because it has already been done before, there is no need to do it now. Because it has already been cultivated before, do not cultivate it now, without discrimination, without thinking of anything, and rest in equanimity. It is said. It is also said in the Secret Essence: At any time, in any of the ten directions, the complete Buddha
