and meditate. Empowerment is done out of desire for food and wealth. Dharma practice is done for the sake of food and drink. Instructions are meditated upon to pacify the local deities. The path of means is learned out of desire for negative karma. At that time, the demon acts as a messenger, planting and seizing the heart with an iron hook. The black demon lasso binds from the neck. And so on, do you know how hollow the meaning is? At that time, gold and donkey dung are the same. Is it not appropriate to meditate on clear light? In the twenty-fifth question, are the essence of cause and effect one or not one? If they are one, then the two, Buddha and sentient beings, should have the same characteristics and qualities. If they are not one, then since the cause and effect of Buddha and sentient beings are not the same, sentient beings cannot become Buddhas. This is the answer to the question: Although the essence of cause and effect is the same, whether the power of the cause has matured or not, similarly, whether one's own ability is complete or not, whether the result has manifested or not, from these aspects, the forms are different. For example, a particle of gold, through the power of burning and polishing, can become the basis and offering of body, speech, and mind, as well as various differences in ornaments and offerings, etc., it can become any form. All of these, the cause is gold, and the result becomes that and that thing. Therefore, although sentient beings and the Buddha are the same in essence, in form, one is covered by defilements, and one possesses purity. From the perspective of delusion and liberation, they become different. Considering this, in the Hevajra Tantra it is said: Sentient beings are Buddhas, but they are obscured by sudden defilements, therefore the answer is Buddha. Is it not said like that? This reason, in the seventeenth question, has been asked and explained in detail, so there is no need to repeat it again and again. Then there is the twenty-sixth question, whether the clear light form of the Great Perfection Six Unions, etc., has the most excellent meaning, and in meaning is it the three bodies? If so, then through the clear color and the senses that can be seen directly, what are the three bodies themselves like? If not, then through practicing clear light, the outer and inner vessels and essences mature into one, and one can also see the accomplishment of the complete exhaustion of the aggregates. This is the answer to the question: The three bodies of indicative meaning to be examined, and the three bodies of actual meaning that are their mode of existence, are divided into two categories. This refers to the practitioners who directly practice the respective paths through appearance, darkness, and clear light, arising in their own appearances.
