Nagi. In order to be a guide for sentient beings, to cope with unbearable suffering, and to lead sentient beings, I regard (the guru) as a symbolic Buddha. Furthermore, in terms of oneself, a virtuous friend who is tamed and peaceful, possessing surpassing qualities, proficient in scriptures, and who has become one's own teacher, is called a "learned guru," and is the Buddha on the path of accumulation. Similarly, the individual who has attained the stages of warmth, peak, forbearance, and the highest mundane dharma, their own experiential wisdom is regarded as the Buddha. By meditating on the seven branches of equanimity, abiding in the path of seeing, from the Joyful Ground onwards, one sees the assembly of the Buddha's nirmanakaya, hears the names of the Dharma, and so on, and attains immeasurable qualities, which in reality is self-aware wisdom, practicing self-appearance within self-appearance. Similarly, the bodhisattvas of the ten grounds regard the sambhogakaya of self-appearance as the Buddha. Therefore, starting from the eleventh ground, Samantabhadra, until reaching the edge of the supreme ground, the great bodhisattva who abides there receives the non-dual fruit of Dharma and the great empowerment of light from the Dharmakaya of the Buddha. When the edge of the peak halfway is reached, from the non-dual protector and savior, one becomes the nature of the five bodies of the Buddha. Because the qualities of the student have reached the ultimate, it is the appearance of the path of no-more-learning, it is the nature of all Buddhas, it is great wisdom, and therefore it is regarded as the meaning Buddha. If named, it is the Dharmakaya, and also the Svabhavikakaya, and the Abhisambodhikakaya. If one says that only those with faces, hands, marks, and signs are the ultimate Buddha, then those who see me as form, those who know me as sound, are those who have entered the wrong path, because they are harmed by (scriptural) statements. Therefore, this distinction of philosophical schools is very subtle and crucial, and if one wants to understand its nature in detail, one should understand it from the "Treasury of Philosophical Schools." Similarly, in the twenty-third question, is the generation stage equivalent to the Dharmakaya? If so, it has color and marks; if not, it is devoid of the characteristics of the Dharmakaya, and therefore it is not such a Buddha of the path. In the question and answer, it is said: the three of nature, self-nature, and compassion, are the way in which the mind of enlightenment abides.
