Thus, there arose many masters who were proficient in the three baskets and the immeasurable tantras, who newly translated many categories of Dharma and promoted the works of the predecessors, so that until now, my Buddha's teachings flourish, and many holy beings who uphold the Dharma have also arisen in this region, and these are referred to as the Later Dissemination. In this regard, it is said: In the midst of the snowy mountains, the three protectors, Avalokiteśvara, Mañjuśrī, and Vajrapāṇi, with the blessings of the incarnate kings and ministers, in addition to inviting the teachings and realizations of Śākyasiṃha, even the foundation laid with the great power of gold trembled. From the chariot path of the aspirations of the three venerable ones, Mi, Wo, and Yun, the translators and paṇḍitas who filled the part of the wonderful deeds, when walking in the sky of merit of the snowy land, where would the darkness of the five degenerations dwell? Thinking so, they wandered. The stars that did not repay the kindness, merging their own light into the light of the sun, the liberation of cleaning the Dharma, is not the decoration of darkness. In the treatise called "The Jewel Garland of Questions and Answers, the Treasury of Teachings," a brief account of the flourishing of the exoteric and esoteric Dharma in Tibet is mentioned, which is the fourth chapter. The chapter on explaining the refutation and answers in detail, which is the fifth chapter. Thus, after generally discussing the system of exoteric and esoteric Dharma, now, the second meaning, the detailed explanation of the refutation and answers, is as follows: Generally speaking, the reasoning of debate and examination can clarify the characteristics of the Dharma, thereby distinguishing between the wise and the foolish, and accurately measuring the object of debate or the individual's basis, which seems to be the characteristic of those who are eloquent. However, on the path of secret mantra, if such sharp words pervade all occasions, then the fault of revealing secrets is great, and the blessings will decline, so I think it is inappropriate in meaning. As the "Essence Ornament" says: "In the midst of noise, secret Dharma and immature beings, and disputes over vajra words, etc., are the actions of mantra practitioners destroying vows, and one should strive to completely not do them." Moreover, especially during disputes, relying on these will increase afflictions, and will become thorns of meditation, etc., because one has not seen the accumulation of unbearable sins, so to the mindstream of others.

Even if there is no free time to answer questions, preferring to remain silent, but here, the Tathagata, with the blessings of the noble Avalokiteśvara and Śāriputra, appears in the manner of questioning and answering the essence of the Prajñāpāramitā Heart Sutra. Similarly, the Great Master of Uḍḍiyāna also regards us as an incarnation of blessings, first elucidating the essential meaning of the scripture, and then, as an incidental way of refuting the nature of falsehood, carrying out the work of decision and obstacle removal. Therefore, I vow to begin this work. First, at the beginning of the question: How is this vessel and sentient world understood? Is it the ultimate truth or the conventional truth? If it is the ultimate truth, then it is changing. If it is the conventional truth, then first explain, what is the basis of the arising of the conventional truth? If it is said to be without inherent existence, then the absence of inherent existence and the conventional truth are contradictory. Thus it is said, now answer it. Thinking of the sentient and insentient world, in the changes of expressive words, the two, conventional truth and ultimate truth, wherever they are established, there is no contradiction. If according to the first way, it is like this: In the appearances established by conceptual thought, the nature of the four changes of arising, dwelling, ceasing, and emptiness continues uninterrupted. The arising of the four aspects is due to the aspiration of the Buddha and the karma of sentient beings, therefore there are two ways in which the sentient and vessel world are established: the light eon and the dark eon. If according to the latter way, from the beginning, in the self-nature that is separated from the root, because there is no name of growth, therefore the self-nature of the vessel and sentient beings are all empty. There, there is no changing object, who is the teacher who says that contradiction is established? Thus. The second question is: Does the Buddha have a beginning and an end? If there is, the scriptures say there is not. If there is not, then what is the purpose of the appearance of countless Buddhas? Thus it is said, now answer it. In the Mañjuśrī Illusion Net it is said: The Buddha has no beginning and no end, the first Buddha has no cause. Thus it shows that there is no beginning and no end. Saying that there is no beginning and no end is not a vow to prohibit appearing in the inconceivable realm. In the sutra of the meeting of father and son it is also said: The great hero is skillful in means, in order to ripen all sentient beings, even if he manifests as a Buddha for hundreds of thousands of myriads of eons, you are still the guide, please show more Buddhas. Thus it is said, to discriminate.
