Therefore, acting in accordance with meaning, whatever one does, one should think of the Buddha, think very much of the Buddha, think of the Sangha, think of the Bodhicitta, and until one thinks of the all-knowing wisdom that possesses all kinds of excellence without separation. Just as it is said, "How can one become the most excellent of all sentient beings, become the most important, become the most outstanding?" Just as in the past, in the sacred land, King Ashoka gave the kingdom to the Sangha, etc., how he served for the sake of the Dharma, and in this land of snow mountains, the wisdom manifestations of the three protectors, Avalokiteśvara, Mañjuśrī, and Vajrapāṇi, such as the three Dharma Kings and their descendants, without mixed lineage, possessing the most complete limbs, the splendor of youthful radiance, bravery, and from that, perseverance, invincible strength, unshakable arms, flawless authority, boundless wealth, mounts, servants, walking with feet raised on the heads of many people, ruling over the land, regions, towns, and the surroundings of huge cities, huge castles, and the master of the thousand-eyed palace of stacked houses. As Nāgārjuna said, "Though young, he delights in the peace of approaching the elderly; though wise, he has no pride in knowledge; though great in majesty, he is patient and steadfast; no matter how high he goes, he has no arrogance or conceit." And in the Suhrllekha (Friendly Letter), it says, "Miserliness, deceit, attachment, and laziness, as well as false pride, greed, and hatred, lineage, appearance, learning, youth, and arrogance arising from great power, regard them as enemies." Like this, the apparent happiness of staying at home is not good, there is no liberation, it is a bridge between birth and death, the rise and fall of wealth alternate, relying on the causes of samsara and the lower realms, enjoying the nature of the results, the many faults repeatedly spoken of by the Bhagavan, relying on remembering these faults, with the sharp awl of renunciation, the joy of completely separating the bonds of clinging to non-virtue and becoming dull to the characteristics of cause and effect.

They all resided there. How did they reside? In the letter to a friend, it says: "Relying on a virtuous friend, practice pure conduct, For the All-Knowing One has said that one can perfect everything. One should rely on a noble being, relying on a noble one, By relying, many will attain peace." As it is said, knowing that the cause and effect of liberation and omniscience depend entirely on the virtuous friend, the noble being, as the principal condition, they invited a Pandit incarnation, a great source of Indian Dharma, who had mastered vast learning and was unconfused in any field of Sutra and Tantra, an inconceivable being. They approached him without regard for life or possessions, sought him with difficulty, and the monasteries accomplished the translation of countless sacred teachings of Sutra and Tantra, which would become a root of the wish-fulfilling jewel of the victorious teachings. As it is said in the second chapter of "Sound Combination," the Tantras of Secret Mantra should be kept secret by the texts, and it is not permissible to explain or show them to those who are not vessels, nor is it permissible to translate or use them casually. If someone explains them in ambiguous language, there will be those who grasp the words literally and use them incorrectly. Among the Tantras of Secret Mantra, some are roughly translated into Tibetan. From now on, except for Dharanis and Mantras that are permitted to be translated by the Lama, the Tantras of Mantra and the words of Mantra should not be roughly translated. Because the Great Vehicle Secret Mantra is not the practice of ordinary beings, it was kept in great secrecy from the time of Emperor Trisong Detsen. Later, in the Horse year, when Lhasras Tride Songtsen Onchang Do resided and finalized the early translations of the scriptures, including the Tripitaka, with new revisions, he also decreed that the Mantra Tantras should be kept secret, so they did not increase into many volumes. Previously, in the time of the ancestors, because the language of Dharma was not known in Tibet, some of the names given did not conform to the rules of grammar, and those that were difficult to measure were not separated by words, but the use of the possessive case was emphasized, and they were not corrected by proofreading that emphasized the meaning.
