Etc., whatever benefits sentient beings is given, and what does not benefit is not given, that is giving. Great giving is: for example, giving away one's wife, sons, daughters, desirable servants, houses, and kingdoms entirely, that is great giving. What is supreme giving? Giving away hands, feet, ears, nose, flesh, bones, skin, eyes, tongue, skull, legs, etc. This is called the supreme giving of a Bodhisattva. Thus it is said. Here, the latter two are made the object of aspiration. Regarding the first place, in the Sutra of Giving, the Blessed One said to the monks: Monks, the wise give in thirty-seven ways. What are the thirty-seven? In order to eliminate miserliness, one gives with faith. One gives at the right time. One gives with three things completely pure, as permitted by the Tathagata. In order to abandon all arising mental disturbances, one gives with respect. In order to take essence from the meaningless body, one gives from one's own hand. Etc., as extensively explained. Even temporary food and drink are used, and completely pure actions are greatly praised in this regard. A good vow is truly established in the mind as a ritual. From that, how is the place of accomplishment? In the Vajra Song of the Dakinis from the volume Narrating the Realization of the Meaning of Dipamkara, one sees: In the north of the eastern Vajra Throne, There is a place called Gyal Bod (རྒྱལ་པོ། Kingdom Tibet). Towering high, there is a pillar of the sky. The low lake has a turquoise mandala. The white snow mountain has a crystal stupa. The yellow meadow has a golden Mount Meru. The fragrant scent has medicinal incense. The bright colors have golden flowers. The blooming summer has turquoise flowers. Alas! Protector of the snowy mountains, Avalokiteshvara, In that place is your pure land. In that pure land are the beings you tame. As praised. In the snowy mountains, above are Ngari Korsum, in the middle are U-Tsang Ruzhi, and below are Do Kham Gang Drug. Among these, snow
