The rain of compassion from this venerable and supreme master fell upon everyone's heart. The subtle considerations of worldly affairs, like things that could only fill a small basket, were thrown from the rooftop. As he prepared to depart, a close friend who understood worldly matters stepped forward to dissuade him. At this time, he was eighteen years old. However, the courage and aspiration of a holy being cannot be suppressed by external forces, just as an unbridled lion soars in the sky. Thus, he abandoned the monastic community, left his friends, and relinquished his attachment to wealth. In his heart, he only thought of the master who teaches the ultimate truth and the solitary places for practice, leaving like a wild animal escaping from its cage. Upon arriving in འབན་ཡུལ (Ewang, the location of Ewang Monastery), he accompanied about forty mendicant monks led by the realized one of (Drikung Yangri Monastery). At that time, the Drikung Kagyu was highly intelligent in both political and religious affairs. Sitting on the throne of ཐེལ (Ti Monastery), he followed the example of the former (Chokyi Drakpa), establishing good rules and regulations. When he saw Drikung Kagyu Rinchen Phuntsok, who was like a deity in the center of the ocean-like assembly of monks, a kind-faced and approachable person, he offered his gifts. Instantly, the arrogance of the scholastic scholars vanished, and unshakable faith arose from the depths of his heart, tears flowing uncontrollably. He discarded the habit of scholastic scholars who only knew how to debate, like a snake shedding its skin. He thought to himself, "I must entrust my life, both in this life and the next, to him." Afterwards, he diligently studied, contemplated, and meditated. In general, although the Kagyu school possesses worldly wealth, its threshold for Dharma is high, and its rules are strict. New monks must strictly adhere to the monastery's regulations. The master said, "This Geshe of Ewang Monastery is a virtuous person, although he is well-versed in the rules and regulations, he must also regard it as his own accumulation and practice." Therefore, he diligently practiced for three months. He received the empowerment of Chakrasamvara with five deities, the instructions on Mahamudra Sahajayoga, the essence of the Kagyu Golden Rosary lineage, and the instructions on the Fivefold Profound Path. When he wanted to become familiar with Machig Labdrön's Chö practice, thinking that he must become an ascetic who renounces everything, he reported to the master. The master said, "You don't need to go anywhere, just stay here. I am also very familiar with Chö practice." Thus, he fulfilled his wish. The master and disciple

In many ways, he engaged in many discussions and debates about whether the interpretation methods of Sutra and Tantra, especially the various views of the new and old secret mantras, relied on the meaning or not. They greatly appreciated each other and praised him in every way, saying, "The name 'Geshe' is not misused." Although he received great respect and praise, he always insisted on humility. At that time, in the view of the Drikungpas, they thought that such a person was knowledgeable, behaved appropriately, and spoke skillfully, and was amazing no matter how you looked at it. At this time, the prophecy of the great master appeared. Once, you understood all the key points of Sutra and Tantra merely by hinting at them. I think he is a person blessed by Lachen Vairotsana and has a deep habit of the early secret mantra teachings. Do you have faith in Guru Padmasambhava? He replied that he had the perception of Guru Padmasambhava as the actual Buddha since he was a child. Because he did not have much attachment to ordinary people, he had little familiarity with any teachings. Then he said, then pray, and the manifestation of the body and the prophecy will be clear. In addition, when he established the laws of Rigar Monastery, he attached great importance to the practice of the teachings, so no one could violate the sacred Dharma and precepts he had preached. Once, Lord Drikungpa said, Geshe needs to explain "One Intention" in the assembly tomorrow. Although there was no such tradition of explanation before, it is for a purpose. He thought that he could not disobey the lama's order, so tomorrow he came to the center of the assembly, and Shabdrung presided over the assembly. In the ocean-like assembly of the Khenpo, teachers, Dharma gate people of Tel, the Vajra Holder junior scholars, and all the members of Yangri Garpa, he based on the fivefold and divided the one hundred and fifty verses of Vajra speech into Dharma gatherings, and based on the three systems of "One Intention," he explained the Dharma wheel of Sutra and Tantra, that is, the complete teachings. At the crucial moment, he explained what Sakya Pandita had forbidden and achieved them through his own power, and was completely pure, which made everyone feel unprecedentedly amazed. The next day, when he visited Shabdrung, Shabdrung stroked his head and said, I have been explaining Chazha Chokyi Drakpa and Ngari Panchen's good sayings to all my students, but they are almost nothing compared to the teachings of "One Intention" Drikungpa.
