He listened to the ultimate bodhicitta and diligently studied Nagarjuna's treatises. He studied the treatises on characteristics day and night for six years. From the two teachers, he listened to the Five Dharmas of Maitreya, the Five Matters Section, the Two Kinds of Vows, the Collection of Madhyamaka Reasoning, the Collection of Discourses, the Collection of Praises, the Bodhicitta Commentary, the Five Stages, and the two Lamrims of the Gelugpa, the Great Stages of Mantra, and so on, listening to many Chinese and Tibetan treatises and commentaries. Although abundant meaning arose in the path of progress, it was only pure, like uprooting the seeds of samsara. Because there were many debates about this, it was difficult to know what the unadulterated nature was. Nagarjuna was prophesied (by the Buddha) to be the one who teaches the profound view of the Buddha. Chandrakirti is his valid commentary. He also realized it by relying on Buddhapalita. Therefore, he made a thorough study of the Commentary on Buddhapalita. He said, "Nowadays, I am not satisfied with those who talk about the state of view." There was a teacher who was proficient in both Sakya and Gelug schools, and he completed the study of both systems. In particular, for Guhyasamaja, he understood the meaning as it is from the writings of Tsongkhapa the Great. From Dorje Gyalwa, he listened to Hevajra with nine deities, the Five Paths and Fruits, the Eleven Commentaries, and so on, as well as the explanation of the Root Commentary on the Three Vows of the Gur tradition and its commentary, the complete Kalachakra, the instructions on the two stages of Lamrim, and the careful explanations from the commentary of the Holy Lama, cutting off the limits of doubt. That teacher said, "Geshe Sherab Ozer seems to have grasped the essence of the Dharma and is able to ask questions." Even those who are not shy had to put more effort into their intelligence. From Rinpoche Dorje Gyalwa, he listened to all the sutras and tantras, treatises and commentaries that are currently being taught and studied. Similarly, he listened to the Golden Teacher and the complete Sakya Collection, and also reviewed them. In particular, he was very familiar with the writings of the Golden Teacher and also held his doctrine. This holy being is the immediate rebirth of Yakde Panchen, so he was very intelligent from a young age. In particular, that Panchen Lama, the great teacher gave him the teachings of Simhamukha, a Butir empowerment, which he practiced himself. In addition, on the cliffs of Lorma Chun, he felt sadness...

In the place of Sa-'da, the expansion of the E-wam stone palace was not yet completed at this time. Drukpa Rinpoche Pema Karpo also had doubts about a certain manifestation. Later, he said, "This is because he went among the Akho (A-khu) logicians (mtshan nyid pa)." Just like that, the dependent origination was influenced by others. That monk, and the one whose voice of the Thal-'gyur school resounded, wherever they met on the battlefield of debate, their wisdom became inconceivable. The Tibetan commentaries were also relaxed. Relying solely on the treatises and commentaries of the Six Ornaments and Two Supremes, through the three heavenly drums of debate, examination, and reason, they were completely sounded from all directions. The Geshe (dGe-bshes) teacher of Lingme (gling smad) said, "Even if you are like a goldsmith (gser ba) student, you have such wisdom." A Geshe of Bodongpa (Bo-dong-ba) asked the Omniscient Rongpa (Kun-mkhyen Rong-pa), "What do you know?" He replied, "I know Prajnaparamita." He was asked, "Then are you proficient in Vinaya?" He replied, "Of course, that is the conduct of Prajnaparamita." Again, when asked about Hetuvidya and Pramana, he replied similarly, "Madhyamaka is the view, and Pramana is the reasoning." Just like that, judging by the way your son relies on Prajnaparamita to find the framework of the teachings, and the way he conceals the tenets of reasoning, the one who is called a Geshe is this kind of person, praising him in the midst of the Sangha, and from then on, he was known as Geshe Sherab Ozer (dGe-bshes Shes-rab 'od-zer). Although his speculative wisdom was as sharp as thorns, those who become supreme beings like this do not merely rely on these to begin laying the foundation for fame and wealth. Because his mind was moistened by strong renunciation and detachment, he kept in mind the wheel of diligent practice. In that state, he sincerely longed for and had faith in the biographies of Shantideva and Atisha. Once, when Drikungpa (’Bri-gung-pa) Rinchen Phuntshog went to the southern region, he went to see the newly built camp at Sathang (Sa-thang), not far from E-wam. He encountered about three hundred monks collectively studying the Bodhicharyavatara. Starting from the sentence, "The true meaning of wisdom is not within the reach of the mind," he mainly cited the Jonang (Jo-nang) commentary to explain three verses. He avoided the famous commentaries like the plague, and also adorned it with reasoning. I saw that he combined the practical experiences of the Kagyu school and spoke very wonderfully.
