Thinking that he needed ritual implements, conches, and offerings, he went to Nepal to obtain them. On the way, he thought that even though he knew so much about the superficial Dharma, there was nothing to practice. He thought that dying now would be of no use, and that he must rely solely on oral instructions. So, he returned and went before the Lama to ask. The Lama gave him the precious secret instructions of the Whispered Lineage. As he practiced these instructions, in Mangyul Gungtang, when he was hungry, the wisdom of the Great Perfection, which is beyond words, dawned for seven days. There, he took offerings from the Nepalese. In Mangyul Gungtang, when he was hungry, he became ill with a fever. He made up his mind, wondering if it was inauspicious. He left all his belongings in the village. He went to the mountains to practice, and as a result, he had no obstruction to all the land, stones, mountains, and rocks. He realized that his previous thoughts were all unnecessary, and he threw away all the ostentatious belongings wherever he pleased. When he saw a mandala and a one-seventh portion of a copper bowl, he remembered the Lama's kindness and thought, 'Even the fact that I have such thoughts is due to the Lama's compassion, so I should offer this much to the Lama.' So he took it to him. But because desire had disappeared, he wanted to throw it away on the road. But he remembered the Lama's kindness again and continued on. When he arrived at the temple, he threw the copper bowl in front of the Lama and said, 'Copper bowl, how long have you bound me?' After that, he lived only in the mountains and practiced. All the Dharma arose in his mind, and all appearances vanished like the sky, so he could not stand up. When he was staying in Wagor Phu in Yarru, lightning struck his bed, but he was not harmed. Others asked him if he had been struck by lightning, and he said, 'Was it lightning? What happened?' Others asked him if he was not harmed, and he said, 'Sound and emptiness are inseparable. How could lightning have inherent existence?' Thus, he remained as the great lord of yogis. From the beginning, he only engaged in meditation and retreat, continuing for eighteen years. He passed away at the age of seventy. This holy person had many disciples who were experts in the scriptures, such as Zhikpo Dudtsi, Tonpa Lakyap, Wepa Josod, and Nyington Nyima Dorje. In addition, Meton Gonpo of Latong and Pel Kungga Dorje also relied on him. Zhikpo Dudtsi, the son of his heart, had a lineage of scholars and accomplished heroes from his ancestors.

From my perspective, this person's father was Sangye Dakchung. Because he was a descendant of Dagpo Gyares, he was known as Dakchung. He went to Lhodrak. He engaged in benefiting beings and resided at the Purmong Gang monastery in upper Lhodrak. The patrons of Gza invited him. They offered the Lhadong Monastery of Gza and the Ugak Monastery, among others, and he resided there. His disciples increased greatly. He and a woman named Jomo Wangmo had a son at the Lhadong Monastery of Gza. When he was placed in fine cloth, a rainbow appeared. When he was about two years old, his father had a strange dream and said, 'It seems I am going to die, and after death, I will go to the realm of vidyadharas. This son will also benefit others.' Having said that, he passed away. This Zhipo Rinpoche, as he grew older, was very compassionate. Even when his mother prevented him from mending clothes, he would not listen and gave them to a poor beggar on the road. At that time, a clever woman said, 'What will your son become? It seems that all the gods and demons of the world gather around him and make offerings to him.' When the 'Ongdun' ceremony was being held, all the people were offering tormas. 'Fool, you should also sprinkle water like this. We are also here to perform the 'Ongdun' ceremony.' That child went to the place where the 'Ongdun' ceremony was being held and said, 'Gods and demons of the Gza Valley, gods and demons of Nyangnak Olpo, Black King of the beggar Ulu! Don't go anywhere this morning. Old woman Wangmo is performing the 'Ongdun' ceremony, take the 'Ongdun' from here!' Having said that, he scattered it. Ama got angry and started hitting him. There was a field there called 'Reshi,' which was as good as a utensil, but could only yield forty 'khals.' That year, the ears of rice were very few, but fifty 'khals' were harvested, so they said, 'This is very likely an emanation.' Therefore, he was sent to his uncle Dampa Se Drakpa to study. For three years, he perfected the Dzogchen Rongpuk Gangdril, and listened well to Gabchung and other teachings. When the lama was about to pass away, he said, 'My eyes are blocked with eye mucus, and I can't remember anything.' At the age of sixteen, he approached the feet of Kyilkhar Lhakhangpa Yonten Zung. He stayed there for many years and became intelligent in all three aspects of generation stage, completion stage, and Mahamudra. He placed the main emphasis of his practice and all his teachings and studies on the mind, and he also said that he only practiced the mind. Kunjed Gyalpo and the Sutra section.
