Therefore, he said, "Since this illusory body is to be abandoned, please remain in meditation." The precious remains were placed in the posture of the Dharmakaya, and when his mind merged into the primordial Dharmadhatu, this great earth also seemed to be contained within his heart. The body rose and moved in gestures such as shaking, and with great roaring sounds, cremation began. The remains were kept for twenty-five days, and the gods who delight in the Dharma erected a rainbow canopy and showered down flowers. Because his mind dissolved into Dharmata, the four great elements also lost the stability of maintaining the regularity of the four seasons. During both the royal and miraculous months (Tibetan New Year January and Miraculous Month), the ground thawed, ice and snow melted, and the leaves of the sandalwood tree grew luxuriantly. When the remains were brought to the cremation ground for offering, an earthquake occurred, and a great sound rang out seven times. During the cremation, as a sign of the body, speech, and mind Vajra attaining enlightenment, his heart, tongue, and eyes all appeared in the dwellings of fortunate disciples. Because he manifested all the attainments of the Five Bodies and Five Wisdoms, five large relics appeared, as well as countless tiny relics. The larger relics grew by the hundreds and thousands, contending and arranging themselves. Even the small amount of undamaged remains that were preserved cannot be harmed by upper demons to this day, which is obvious evidence. The writings of this great being are no different from the Buddha's teachings, and for the sake of easy understanding and remembrance, they are classified as: common outer scriptures, special inner scriptures, and ultimate secret scriptures, in three categories. Among these categories, the first includes three parts: cultural knowledge, collections of stories, and collections of praises. The second includes the two vehicles of cause and effect. The third includes commentaries on the secret tantra section, and in particular, the teachings of the unsurpassed Clear Light Vajra Essence. The first category of cultural knowledge includes the two versions of the writing composition method, "Wish-Fulfilling Ear of Grain," concise explanations, "The Moon of Clear Sound Combination," the poetic composition "Sun Chariot," the position of heavy and light syllables "Jewel Key," "A Garland of Flowers of Nomenclature," and the poetic work "A Pleasure Garden Where a Hundred Flowers Bloom."
