Therefore, he had nothing other than the clothes he wore and a copy of the Aṣṭasāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sutra. With a compassionate heart for the poor, he prayed to the Tara image painted on the wall and shed tears. The Tara image manifested and took off the various precious ornaments from her body, including a priceless necklace, and gave them to the teacher. Therefore, the painted Tara image lost its ornaments and became known as "Unadorned Tara," and it is said that there was a faint mark where the ornaments were removed. At that time, the teacher Chandrakirti (ཟླ་བ་གྲགས་པ) saw his own treatise on grammar called "Samantabhadra" (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ།), which contained scattered statements written in verse form. He realized that his statements were not well-written and thought that it would not benefit sentient beings, so he threw the book into a well. Then, the Holy Mother said, "A treatise written with the arrogance of a scholar will be of little benefit. But because you wrote it with good intentions for other monks, it will benefit sentient beings, so take the book out of the well!" It is said that he took the book out as prophesied. Others say that when "Samantabhadra" became very popular, Chandragomin (ཙནྡྲ་གོ་མི) prayed to the noble one to make his own work popular as well, and as a result, the popularity of "Samantabhadra" was interrupted and Chandragomin's work began to become popular. At that time, Chandrakirti was very frustrated and threw the treatise into the well, so the name of the well became Chandra Well. These two historical accounts have completely different narratives and contents, so if their respective followers do not like it, there is nothing to be done. But in any case, it is said that whoever drinks water from that well will have increased wisdom, which is the same. Now, "Samantabhadra" only remains as a name, while Chandragomin's work is considered to be the object of study for all scholars, both internal and external, and is very popular. This teacher also composed many treatises on grammar, poetry, metaphors, prosody, logic, medicine, one hundred kinds of crafts, and astrology. When he was teaching these subjects to his students, the Holy Mother said, "Paying attention to treatises mixed with the evils of outsiders, and praising the places that possess the three characteristics of Buddhism, is like this: the Ten Bhumis and the Moon Lamp, as well as the Tree Adornment and Entering Lanka, becoming the mother of all Buddhas, please illuminate! Bad prosody.

He was urged, "What is the use of false actions for you?" Then, he loosened the bonds of diligence in the common fields of knowledge, imparted the wonderful five Sutras to others, and recited them himself daily. He also composed treatises summarizing their meanings. In general, there were one hundred and eight each of praises, inner science, non-Buddhist treatises, and crafts. He composed four hundred and thirty-two minor works. He composed a great Mahayana treatise that contained all the topics of the Bodhisattva's path, which flourished in 'Gro-lding and the land of Simhala (Sri Lanka).
