I, from my elder brother's words: "You have become a Pandit in five hundred lifetimes, so your wisdom is sharp. I will ask the superior deity," he said. When I requested that he show it to me as well, he asked, "Will you ask the venerable one?" Maitreya said, "This is an ordinary person. Because he slandered the Mahayana, he will not see me in this life. As a means to exhaust karmic obscurations, compose many commentaries on the Mahayana sutras. Make Ushnishavijaya (Tsuktor Nampar Gyalma) your personal deity. In a future time, you will meet me." Because he spoke such a prophecy, I believed it very much and said, "My elder brother is like a Naga. I am like a bird waiting for rain. Even if the Naga king sends down rain, it will not enter the bird's throat." So I said. Thus, the history from the discussion between the brothers up to this point is not in the manner of Indian debate, but one can certainly see difficult debates, which is the activity of the wise. Here, for the time being, it has been done in accordance with the stories that were previously circulated in Tibet. My elder brother understood all the Mahayana sutras completely just by hearing them. He also received the entrance to mantra from other Acharyas, and he achieved accomplishment by reciting dharanis and vidya-mantras.

About five hundred scholars also entered the Mahayana. After Asanga passed away, he became the abbot of glorious Nalanda Monastery. Although he was busy with the great work of the teachings, he practiced the ten daily practices without interruption in every way. He also combined a thousand other practices with these ten complete practices every day. In particular, he taught twenty different sections of Mahayana sutras without interruption. In the evening, he collected the essence of all the teachings and memorized them, and composed treatises. During the midday break, while slightly recovering his strength, he listened to the Dharma from the remaining deities. At dawn, he remained in perfect samadhi. In the past and future, about five hundred non-Buddhists came to debate, and he defeated them with the sharp wheel of reason. He converted about five thousand Brahmins and non-Buddhists to Buddhism. Taking the first turning of the wheel as the basis, in order to determine the characteristics of all the teachings, he composed the root verses of the Abhidharmakosha and its auto-commentary, and sent the root verses to the virtuous friend in Kashmir, who was pleased. It is said that when he sent the commentary, the other party said that the commentary refuted the root verses, so he was not satisfied, and this story is widely circulated in Tibet. He also went to remote border areas, mostly residing in Magadha, and established 108 Mahayana Dharma centers. Once, he went to the eastern Gaura region and taught the sutras to countless people, and the gods rained down golden flowers. Each beggar received about a large bag of golden flowers. He also established 108 monasteries in that area. The Brahmin Makshika of Audibisha invited him and held a three-month festival for twelve thousand Mahayana monks, so the Brahmin's house

The source of five kinds of precious gems was revealed. Kings and all others developed faith, and 108 temples were established there. It is said that the total number of temples he personally ordered to be built in many other places, such as the south, was equal to that number. As a result, the total number of Mahayana monks in all places was about 60,000, so the Dharma was very prosperous. In short, wherever he resided, non-humans would make offerings, the source of precious gems would be revealed, he would clearly show the state of good and non-good through clairvoyance, he could pacify diseases and natural disasters by speaking the power of truth, and he had mastery over his lifespan through the power of secret mantras, and so on. Finally, he traveled to the Thal region with a thousand monks who were virtuous and learned. There, he also developed many temples and sanghas. A man named Dalpo Haru, who wore the robes of a renunciate but had no monastic vows, saw them plowing the fields in their Dharma robes. Thinking that the teachings of the Buddha were declining, he was deeply saddened and recited the Ushnishavijaya Dharani in reverse, and immediately passed away into nirvana. This master and the Tibetan king Lha Thothori Nyantsen are said to be equal. Master Gunaprabha of the Four Great Lajas: The profound aspect of the king became impermanent, and in the western Maru region, a king named Sri Harsha arose, whose power was very strong, and he ruled the western kingdoms. At that time, Master Gunaprabha, in a destroyed region, the flower of youth blossomed from the sprout of a Brahmin caste. There, when he was well-versed in the Vedas of his caste and its branches, he took ordination and full ordination in the monastery there. From the great master Divakara, he became proficient in the three pitakas and many Mahayana sutras. He possessed the eye of wisdom to understand all the Vinaya Pitakas and their commentaries of different schools. He was always able to memorize a hundred thousand Vinaya texts, and he did not tolerate even the slightest unconstrained transgression among the five thousand monks who lived with him, and if it did happen, he would correct it immediately.
