Thus it passed. After that, whoever raised sharp flags of opposition were blown away by the fierce winds of the conduct of the teacher, the noble one, who was completely victorious. The face of arrogance was extremely ashamed and tried to jump into the Ganges River. As soon as the noble one spoke words to the contrary, the strong aspirations of the past from the scriptures of the Tripitaka transformed into power, realizing that his own view was wrong. Bound by the regret of slandering cause and effect, he manifested as sharpening a knife to cut off his tongue. At that time, the venerable mother Tara prophesied: "Enter the Buddhist teachings and praise the Buddha greatly! Karmic obscurations will be purified." After saying this, he became a holder of the three baskets (Tripitaka). For the sake of confession, he composed praises to those worthy of praise, as well as the "One Hundred and Fifty Verses," and many other works. His nephews, the non-Buddhists and Brahmins, said: "Like this, even Krishna, the most excellent and extremely difficult to conquer among the Brahmins, has abandoned his own tenets like discarding tiles and pebbles. If he enters the Buddhist teachings, then undoubtedly the Buddhist doctrine is too amazing!" Because of this reason, more than a thousand individuals from each group of non-Buddhists and Brahmins were ordained, even just at the glorious Nālandā Monastery (located in present-day Bihar, India). The praises composed by him also spread throughout all regions due to the blessings personally bestowed by the Buddha, and even entertainers and clowns were singing them, becoming a single vehicle of fragrance that attracted the faith of all beings. This great being, due to his immense power of merit, even when going to the city for alms every day, would receive countless kinds of food. Therefore, he could effortlessly support two hundred and fifty meditators, countless reciters, and five hundred monks. Moreover, he was skilled in poetic composition, and the words and meanings of the treatises he authored were extremely exquisite, even able to satisfy the teacher Dharmakīrti. Due to these circumstances, he combined the activities of the Tathāgata with great poetry, and praised only those who were devoted to listening and debating.

He accomplished many great deeds, such as expounding on the supreme views and many excellent treatises, including the two pith instructions on cultivating the mind of enlightenment without relying on the ground. When he reached the later part of his life, King Kaniṣka sent messengers to invite him, but he did not go in person. Instead, he wrote a letter and converted the king to Dharma. He sent his disciple, named Yeshes Nyenpa, to be the king's teacher. It is said that, based on the scriptures such as the Sutras and the accounts of stories, passed down orally from teachers and masters, he intended to compose the hundred Jataka tales of the Buddha, combining them with the ten perfections. When he had completed thirty-four tales, his life was affected by the auspicious connection of the story of the tigress offering her body in the first Jataka, or rather, in the conduct of Bodhicitta, his own courage was infinitely increased. He saw a tigress in the forest, followed by her cubs, suffering from hunger. He began to offer his body, but with a slight hesitation, he further acted as a messenger to inspire faith in the Buddha. First, he drew blood from his body and wrote seventy aspirations, and also fed the tigers. Later, he decided to offer his body, and it is said that only the ending part of the thirty-fourth Jataka remained unfinished. Although he was determined to complete the work, it is said that after the Acharya was eaten by the tiger, nothing of value was found. Since the lineage still exists, these have been left without verification. Although this Acharya was a Mahayanist, he did not focus solely on that. He equally benefited everyone, so the Shravakas were also pleased, and all Buddhists greatly revered him. It is said that he and the son of King Chandra Gupta, named Heart Essence Tilaka, were born at the same time in the region of Gora. When his nephew's son, Buddhadharma Candra, ruled the kingdom, the Turukha army destroyed Magadha. The glorious Nālandā also suffered great damage. When Dharma Candra's uncle became King Buddha Rakṣita, he sent some Sutra speakers to China. He gained victory in battle over the king of the Tajiks.
