Even treatises on worldly matters such as agriculture, animal husbandry, and how to make white sugar were composed. At that time, all the scholars of the four Ru of Tibet initially came to debate. Later, the conduct of the teacher Dharmakīrti weakened the vines of their pride, and there arose a situation where the pillars of arrogance needed to be suppressed. For example, Yangkhyé Lama of Shab, Marpa Dowa, Uyukpa Datön, Dö's Khyungo Hungnying, Se Tröm Gyatso Bar, Tshamton Gocha, Pema Darchung, Gö Lhetsé, and Gya Gya Tsultrim, among other scholars, all thought that a person born in Tibet had composed so many treatises. So they began to study, examine, and think of ways to refute them. Like a herd of bulls gathering to sharpen their horns, they went to that great person. As a result, they found that his treatises were in accordance with the scriptures, could withstand rational scrutiny, did not contradict reasoning and the teachings of the guru, and with the power of his wisdom, he thoroughly refuted all contradictory points such as phonetic errors and semantic errors. Whenever they saw a treatise and tasted its meaning, they were amazed and treated him with respect, regarding him as an image and as a guru. It is said that this was always the case. It is said that Gorub Lotsawa, named Bhikshu Chökyi Sherab, who was learned and had a great memory, also initially examined him. Later, when he saw the book "Entering the Mode of the Great Vehicle" composed by Lama Rongpa, he developed great respect. Finally, he made offerings with a lot of wealth and without hiding anything, requested to be taken as a disciple, and listened to many teachings such as the Manjushri Secret Tantra. During the Secret Tantra, the great Mahāpaṇḍita said, "If we had the Indian Sanskrit original, it would not be like this now, but because there is no Sanskrit original, it cannot be modified now." Gorub Lotsawa kept this in mind. Later, he obtained the Sanskrit original from the Paṇḍita Jowo Kṛṣṇa and studied it, and found that it was consistent with what Rongpa Paṇḍita had said, so he gained great faith. He offered the Sanskrit original he had obtained from Kṛṣṇa to Rongpa himself and listened to the teachings again. Similarly, translators such as Mar Lotsawa Chökyi Wangchuk

Moreover, many wise individuals renowned for their erudition also paid homage to him. He relied upon numerous Indian Khenpos such as Manjushri Varma, Manjushri Jnana, Upaya Shri Mitra, Buddha Akara Bhadra, Deva Kara Chandra, Parameshvara, and Amoghavajra, and they served as translators, translating many scriptures such as the Vajrabhairava, Yamari Tantra, Manjushri Meaning Mantra, and the Root Tantra of Chakrasamvara. Because the translations were excellent, they were worthy examples of the New Translations. Indian Panditas all said, "Dharmabhadra, you should compose many Dharma works and protect beings! Leaving aside your other qualities, even if one only knows a third of the system of grammar and logic, one can still compose Dharma works in India, so why don't you compose?" Although he possessed such perfect qualities, he was humble and dedicated to suppressing arrogance. Therefore, the Victorious Longchenpa, even below his own excellent commentary, the Kunjang Commentary, which speaks of being manifestly superior to the Indian commentaries, wrote, "Even the treatises composed by wise and great saints are subject to scrutiny and criticism, so how much more so my own work?" Just as the tantras compiled by the great saint Vajrapani are examined by the arrow of wisdom transformed by darkness, what need is there to mention my commentary? He followed the example of Acharya Shantideva's biography, naturally demonstrating the conduct of a Bodhisattva. If measured by the biographies of accomplished ones, he walked on steep, mirror-like cliffs with miraculous powers, drove stakes into rocks, flew in the sky, and had the clairvoyance to understand the abodes and behaviors of most of the gods and demons of Tibet, and so on. However, it is truly amazing to lead such a supreme view, and those who have attained the ground of the fourfold analytical knowledge, into the path of letters of manifest signs that ordinary people can trust. Thus, all the scholars who appeared at that time manifested and bowed their heads to that great Pandit, who was undisputed as an emanation body, and he lived to the age of one hundred and nineteen, passing away without illness.
