He is known as "Phul." Recording all the oral transmissions of the teachings was a great kindness to his followers. He resolutely refused the request of "Che She," thinking, "Go to the depths of the forest, or to a secluded mountain valley, to a place where no human or bird sounds can be heard, and disappear there." With an inconceivable determination, he simplified all the books into mere drafts of booklets. Because he was entrusted with the affairs of the monastery of the Lama and Khenpo, he did not dare to disobey their wishes. However, merely serving the Lama purified great obscurations, and his meditation also improved, which was said to be more effective than retreating to the mountains. The reason for this was that when the Thangka of the Great Compassionate One was being built, he worked on smelting copper in Zurkhar for eighteen months, which gave rise to extraordinary realization. When the mount of the incarnate teacher was taken away by strong Tibetans, he practiced Dharma protectors on the Snang-gsal-brag rock in Dotepu, and the Dharma protector appeared to him. When he went to Todlung for alms, he dreamed of his parents, and his suffering was naturally relieved. It is said that since then, he has never experienced intrinsic suffering. For the sake of the monastery's affairs and the work of building statues, he carried out extensive activities for the benefit of beings in all regions, and served the two Jowo statues in Lhasa for six years. He passed away at the age of sixty-eight, the year of the Iron Tiger, the year of Orgyenpa's birth, leaving behind many relics and remains. His younger brother, Jo-bsod, came to Zhigpo from a young age. He was cherished by Zhigpo, and was completely taught the teachings of "Smes." Zhigpo said, "You seem to be excellent at debating the Dharma, so go to my teacher." Then he sent him to Lhakhangpa Chenpo. He became proficient in Sutra, Illusion, and Smes, becoming an outstanding scholar, and passed away at the age of thirty-one, his work not yet fully matured. Tatön Ziji (Rta-ston Gzi-brjid) was a disciple of Sangye Donton (Sangs-rgyas dpon-ston). He became a great scholar and wrote a detailed commentary on the Guhyagarbha Tantra (gSang-ba'i snying-po). It seems that most of the history of this lineage was also written by him. However, it differs slightly from the views of Yungtonpa (gYung-ston-pa). It is said that until him, he was very proficient in illusion and mind. Furthermore, many other related matters are mentioned in the Yung Commentary (gYung-'grel), Tsangba Yiton (gTsang-ba Byi-ston).
