realm. This absence of inherent existence is also well bound, like a wheel of fire clinging to self. In the eyes of some, it is light; in the eyes of others, it is darkness. In the eyes of some, it is nectar; in the eyes of others, it is water and fire. For all completely contradictory concepts, karmic imprints follow, but there is no fixed rule. Even so, the object of appearance is not the mind. Although the image of a face enters a mirror, it is only a condition arising from interdependence. The face and the mirror never mix. It appears as if it exists, but the mind that clings to it is deluded. Just as seeing a variegated rope, one clings to it as a snake. The initial knowing is the object to be grasped, and the subsequent discriminating thought is the grasper. If the object to be grasped, which appears as a snake, is said to be the knowing of the master of the grasper, then the appearance and the object of appearance, as well as the uncreated person, also exist or do not exist together with the appearance itself. Wherever it may be, ignorance, the object to be grasped, and the grasper are sudden conditions. The master of existence, between me and mine, though clearly non-existent, cuts off the root of delusion. The all-creating king dissolves into the self-born. From "The Treasury of Qualities, Joyful Rain," the chapter showing the way the basis abides, which is the eleventh chapter, is complete. The chapter showing the uncommon path of the Great Perfection of Naturalness, which is the twelfth chapter. For the coemergent union that does not require learning, the great path of revolving, the six perfections, all qualities, one should truly rely on the Prajnaparamita. That path will never become the cause of another. 678 Thus, it is the secret of all perfect Buddhas. In emptiness, no characteristic abides, and for the meaning of freedom from extremes, one does not cling to the Middle Way. Abandoning inherent existence, the Great Perfection is accomplished. Conceptual thought, in which disputes clearly increase, follows examination and subsequent inference. The object of ultimate truth is contrary to this. Each self-awareness transcends the realm of expression. The conceptual thought of philosophical tenets that speak of entities, and the conceptual thought of ordinary beings with inferior boundaries, the wisdom of the victorious ones that transcends discriminating thought, is the Great Perfection path of primordial liberation. The reality of emptiness, not bound by knowable appearances, the essence of the luminosity of the nature of emptiness, the body (藏文:སྐུ་,梵文天城体:रूप,梵文罗马拟音:rūpa,汉语字面意思:色身) and the realm of wisdom (藏文:ཡེ་ཤེས་ཁམས,梵文天城体:ज्ञानधातु,梵文罗马拟音:jñānadhātu,汉语字面意思:智慧界) that abide in awareness, inseparable like the essence of the sun. 682 ༈ To whomever

The three ways of measuring the stages of O: The Mind Section manifests as the skill of play; the Space Section is the ornament of self-appearing arrangement; the Instruction Section is the form of emptiness appearing as non-existence. 683 Emaho! All are bodhicitta without a basis for liberation; what liberates is the self-illuminating resonance that has abandoned grasping; it is clear in the space without basis or root. Emaho! Because it is unmade and uncorrected, it is primordially liberated. 684 One's own self-liberation does not depend on conditions; because it is naked liberation, it is free from all dependencies; it is liberated from the extremes of being labeled as one or many; it is liberated as the single awareness, so it is without characteristics. 685 Emaho! Whatever awareness transcends the mind is the special quality of the Great Perfection of self-nature. Those who have realized are liberated as awareness from the ground; sentient beings who have not realized revolve in that very state. 686 If distinguished by aspect, it is like water and water bubbles. Emaho! Although mind and awareness are similar in a state of non-thought, awareness is empty and clear without self-nature, while mind swirls and is deluded like a whirlpool. 687 Emaho! Awareness is like the clear moon in the empty sky; mind is like the fifteenth-day moon mixed with objects. Clarity and absence of objects are the qualities of awareness; being completely mixed with objects is the characteristic of mind. 688 Emaho! Likewise, awareness is self-abiding wisdom; it is free from sinking and excitement, not relying on meditation methods. Mind is single-pointed on the object of focus; it is connected with samadhi and the dependent and the depended upon. 689 Emaho! Although awareness arises in objects, it is the appearance that is not subdued by power, like mercury falling on the ground. Mind is with the parts of grasper and grasped; it is mixed with the aspect of closely taking up conceptual thoughts. 690 Emaho! Although awareness does not abandon mind itself elsewhere, mind and awareness cannot coexist; the afflictions that are one with the object and nature as self and substance also flee together in confusion. 691 Thus fleeing certainly liberates from the prison of afflictions; this is the special dharma of the Instruction Section. Emaho! Elsewhere, the assembly of afflictions is abandoned by shravakas and pratyekabuddhas through renunciation, and subdued by bodhisattvas through fierceness. 692 In general, mantra is the path of letting go; in the Mind Section, liberation occurs on the spot of nature; in the Space Section, purification occurs in the single taste of dharmata; it is wonderful that self-establishment collapses in the space of awareness. Emaho! Likewise, the alaya and the dharmakaya are two, 693 although one in space, the dharmakaya is like an ocean; the alaya-consciousness is its obscuration, floating in both samsara and nirvana like a boatman. Emaho! That ground itself
