The tenets of the Svātantrika school. Thus, appearance itself is the conventional truth, and emptiness is the ultimate truth. Any imputation of terms is free from the extremes of elaboration. 439 From the very moment of appearance, there is no birth, cessation, going, or coming. Even the conventional truth, which is considered to be dependent on others, does not accept it as an extreme of existence. This is the unique characteristic of Nāgārjuna and Candrakīrti, the founders of the Prāsaṅgika school. Here, by thoroughly examining all the lower aspects, the higher ones will not be mistaken. By clinging to one's own desires, the characteristics of the extreme of existence, which are established by dependence, are placed in a degraded position. Therefore, the wisdom that clearly distinguishes between what is real, what resembles reality, and what is not real arises from hearing, and it liberates from afflictions. 442 When there are no afflictions, demons cannot find an opportunity. Here, if one grasps, it is the ultimate truth, the reality that is beyond words, thoughts, and expressions, the way things abide in their nature. From the perspective of the mind, it is labeled as speech, thought, and expression, 443 and appearance is categorized as conventional truth. After establishing this, one seeks to realize the two truths, but whoever has transcended the act of realizing and what is to be realized cannot directly realize it, and there is neither seeing nor attainment or non-attainment. 444 The intelligence that arises in accordance with emptiness is given the epithet of realization. What is dependent arising? It is the treasury of all phenomena without exception. 445 What is the wisdom of contemplation? It is the key to truly enter. All phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana, do not come from anywhere, 446 do not go anywhere, and do not remain. Dependent arising abides in its nature. The nature of phenomena itself, like birth and cessation, appears as emptiness from the very moment of appearance. 447 Not abiding in the extremes of elaboration, it is shown to be the very nature of the Middle Way. Purity and impurity are temporary. Although they do not exist in reality, they appear as if they do not exist. 448 They are apprehended by complete imputation, and the four extremes arise from realization and analysis. Existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, not abiding in the middle is not wisdom. 449 Like a silkworm that binds itself in a cocoon, one binds oneself with the tenets of desire. Here, the phenomena imputed by the mind are not birth, cessation, abiding, going, or coming. 450 They are neither one nor different, neither permanent nor annihilated. Knowing the nature in which all elaborations are completely pacified, 441 is the essence of wisdom born of contemplation.

The field of perception, earth, water, fire, wind, and space, mountains and forests, stacked houses. Everything arises from accumulated causes. 452. Samsara is dependent origination. From ignorance arises action, likewise, relying on each other, the connection until old age and death, 453. is the inner dependent origination. Nirvana is also dependent origination, the path is the dependent origination of samsara. 454. The twelve links of dependent origination, its root, great ignorance, is dispelled by the light of wisdom, and other branches such as actions, 455. are reversed, cutting off the root of existence. Thus, the person who sees the nature of dependent origination, knows suffering and abandons the origin. 456. Realizes cessation and sees the supreme path. Thus, contemplating that all phenomena are unborn, understanding the Dharma nature of their own nature, 457. is called meditative wisdom. The realm of space that is completely pure, is of one taste with the meaning of meditation, in it the five aggregates such as form, 458. all eight consciousnesses do not exist. If one blocks and says there is nothing with the mind, it is even more contradictory to wisdom itself. It is not annihilation of nothingness, 459. but the treasure of all body and wisdom. In its own nature, it is completely pure, in reality, one sees reality as it is, but seeing is also conventional truth, 460. not moving from its own state is the supreme meditation. Before it, thoughts and attention, all do not abide. If one fully understands such wisdom, 461. then one will attain liberation through skillful means. Without the skillful means of wisdom, one cannot be liberated from bondage. Above, emptiness and great compassion, 462. relying on one's own continuum is the great accumulation path. From the path of joining down to the supreme mundane qualities, emptiness and compassion appear in both meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment. After obtaining the path of seeing, the two, 463. are united and inseparable. In the first ground of utmost joy, one directly sees the truth of Dharma nature. Then in the path of cultivation of the noble ones, 464. at the final end of the ten grounds, with the vajra-like samadhi, destroying the obscurations of knowledge, one manifests enlightenment. Without non-conceptualization, etc., 465. the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddhas, the ten powers and the four fearlessnesses, all manifest, that is Buddha. Thus, the six perfections, 466
